1) Load the box to stop the run and trust DB's to go one-on-one with Bama receivers.

2) Etling hit short drop, short passes. Don't think line can protect him long enough for regular drop-backs and Bama will shut down Guice like they did Fournette the last couple of years.

This game has been lost at the line of scrimmage 6 times in a row.

Until we get back to recruiting a deep DL and OL, it’s going to be more of the same.

Game managers don’t beat bama.

If we don’t get a few TO and a big play or TD from ST or defense it could be a long day

Not criticizing.. just asking... why did Miles stop recruiting these?

only way we win is if we can establish a decent enough running game...(i.e. guice can get 90-120yds on 25 or less carries) and Etling is able to establish the short to intermediate passing game efficiently. We wont be able to run the ball down their throats. Etling will need to win this one for us.

Offensively I thought we already agreed that Arden Key would be in wild cat.

The way you beat Bama is the way no one wants to hear. You have to do what we did in 2010. Run the ball effectively, stay in 3rd and short, make the plays in the passing game on 50/50 balls.

You can't beat them by trying to be something you're not.

The most rushing yards they have given up this season is 75.

Exactly. If they are able to stop us with their front 7 (not stacking the box) then the game is over. Idk if Etling and our WRs posses the skills to consistently beat their DBs. Only way for us to get the passing game going is if they start dropping a safety into the box.

I think they’re gonna be able to run on our DL even with a stacked box. We’re gonna have to take some chances with some run blitzes. Have to create negative plays for them even if it makes us vulnerable to the big play. Have to take chances on offense too—we’re not gonna be able to just line up and beat them.

Jet sweeps, occasional bomb down the field, great special teams play, winning the time of possession, hit their quarterback consistently and pin their running backs in their own backfield.... = huge win.

Lsu has got to score more points than Bama for them to win, imo.
