Let’s compare his stats from last season to Chubbs this?
Or you could compare his stats to Chubb's from 2014 or 2015? I mean, pre-injury and all.

Sensible people know that Rig is trolling you. Some of you know better. Then there's the intellectual elites, like yourself, who keep taking jabs at that shiny hook every week.
Everybody knows what he is doing. You people give yourselves wayyyyy too much credit.
As for me taking jabs at the shiny hook, I look at it as low-hanging fruit. I'll indulge myself just for the hell of it,if I'm bored.

Yeah, when your CAREER carries are only about 50% better than ONE full season of any actual ELITE bank's carries,
You're trying hard ,man. I'll give you that.
quote:I could have sworn I said it was reported he was not 100% healthy to start the season.
And you still have no answer on his average dropping, game by game? It's math, my friend. He won't end his career ypc where it currently is.
quote:You brought up the bama/fournette reference and I smoked you again. Then you mock me for switching the subject?
Gotta switch over to Fournette because the Guice argument is sinking? I see.
quote:It's cute that he is still trying to prove himself while LF has 18mil in the bank if he never plays another down. Nick Chubb has 1 run run over 50 yards the past two years. LF has two runs of at least 75 yards the past two weeks.
That's cute. Chubb came back because a. he needed another year to show he was back to his pre-injury self, which he is pretty dann close

So much energy expelled. Seriously, WGAS? Think about what your are arguing about.
DR keeps setting it up and you people keep counting to potato.

Nick Chubb-6.4
Todd Gurley-6.4
Garrison Hearst-6.0
Herschel Walker- 5.4
Lars Tate- 4.9
Dammit Boy...Derrius has a higher career YPC than the 5 best RB's from UGA EVER
To be fair
Back when guys like Herschel played, defenses were more set to stop the run-big strong-. Todays defenses are geared more to stop spread type offenses-speed-. If you ran a 4-2-5 back in the 80's you'd be ran over. lots of 5-3 defenses ect. So imo to avg over 5 ypc running into stacked boxes is more impressive than what backs are doing today. Alot like QB's of today throwing to wrs who cant be touched. Noway you can really say one is better than guys who played in a different era. just my .02 fwiw

Asshat, is Chubby running behind an OL that consist of 3 true freshman, because Guice is.
Probably makes a bi of a difference.

Rustled. Good job rig.
Swift and Zeus will run wild there next year. This should be a weekly thing.

Since it appears you are still taking this thread seriously (Asshat comment), yes, UGA did indeed start 3 freshman on the OL on Saturday.

Uh huh. Suuuuure.

So Guice, who will have effectively accomplished zilch in his sub-par career when it's over, is now better than Chubb, Herschel, Hearst, Lars, AND Gurley? Damn. If ever we needed evidence for LSU's delusion......and to think, just two weeks ago we were all having to talk you guys off the ledge.
quote:
I could have sworn I said it was reported he was not 100% healthy to start the season.
Mmmmmmmmkay. No one missed that. Chubb's "not 100%" year was due to an EXPONENTIALLY worse injury, yet he still performed better than Guice is currently in his "not 100%" year. So what are you missing here?
quote:
You brought up the bama/fournette reference
I said let me know when Guice breaks 100 on Bama since Fournette never did. I was still talking about Guice. And my reference to Fournette is also still fact.

Which makes him a better back? Last I checked, Jamarcus Russell also has (or at least had) a nice bank account. Was he a better QB than Tom Brady?

And this is where I don't think you really understand averages at all. Fournette had 130 yards on 21 carries today with a long of 75. Sounds impressive until you take that lone 75-yarder out and see that he had 55 yards on the other 20 carries.....which comes out to a whopping 2.75ypc average. Chubb, on the other hand, is a model of consistency. He doesn't run for 2 yards here, 2 yards there and then break off one 75 yard run to inflate his average on the day. No, he's actually grinding out bigger chunks of yardage on a more consistent basis, on every carry. To his credit, Rig actually commented on that on our board a couple of weeks back and just how impressive Chubb's average was given his lack of long runs. Chubb isn't always flashy, but he's reliable, carry after carry. When you're in need of 4-7 yards for a first down, you know the odds are in your favor when he gets the handoff.

Let's see... True freshman RT, RS Freshman RG, Converted DL at C, undersized LT, and a LG who couldn't start last year when we had statistically one of if not the worst OL in the SEC... Yeah, we're trotting out the paragon of elite OLs right now. The performance has been good, but you can't say it's because of all this fantastic experience...

To be fair the money in the bank doesn't make him a better back. Nick Chubb has 699 total yards(rushing/receiving) and 8 touchdowns through 7 games against the SEC EAST and OOC opponents.Leonard Fournette has 732 total yards and 7 touchdowns in the NFL through 6 games. That's what makes him a better back.

LSU fans are very triggered by the fact that Guice sucks and Chubb is decisively better than him.

when you start comparing NFL stats to NCAA stats - that's how you know you've been masterfully baited.

When did Tom Brady get drafted? Clearly he has not made nay money in his career and he is crap as a QB, because, well he got drafted behind a bunch of other QB's.

Chubb is better than Guice at having sexual connotations in his name
