I guess you're glazing over the part where starting LB's wallet was in his car. When he opened the door, the cop saw weed in plain sight and smelled it.
In summation, starting LB is a moron for parking illegally in front of a store and having weed sprinkled on his car seat. I have no problem with people smoking weed, but I do have a problem with stupidity. Lesson learned IMO. Honestly, he should prob start vaping. All the cool kids are doing it now, and there's nothing for the cops to smell and no weed sprinkles for the cops to see.

You realize the TPD arrested a Bama player this year for sleeping in his car after he imbibed? Of course you know this, you just like the narrative better.

it's worthy to note that the Tuscaloosa County DA is an Auburn grad and fan.
has nothing to do with arrest FWIW
Not so sure.
Don't act like the DA and police don't work together. As they should.
The DA can let it be known that he won't prosecute football players, therefore the cops won't bother to arrest, fill out paperwork, etc.
Or, he can be an avid fan of the local team's rival, and insist on no favoritism.

Why does this always go down this rabbit hole? The guy wouldn't keep the job long if he was trying to stick it to arrested Alabama football players.

You'd have a much better chance at arguing your point if Alabama hadn't recently seen a player arrested for DUI while sleeping in his car in a parking lot.
By Tuscaloosa PD or another jurisdiction?

By the Tuscaloosa PD. How did you miss this? It was Dashawn Hand.

Why have people not learned that doing two illegal things at the same time is how 90% these situations happen?
Have weed or guns in the car? Don't speed or park illegally. It's not hard.

I think it's stupid as hell that weed is illegal, but it is illegal. What the hell is the cop supposed to do when he sees weed in plain sight in someone's car?
Posted on 10/6/17 at 12:57 pm to deeprig9
Would it kill some of these players to just leave the weed at home? I mean it is like they can't be separated from it for even a few minutes?

He was passed out drunk in a running car in the middle of the night.
There's really no choice for the cop there. Same thing happened to a UGA player a while back. No complaints from me. That's legitimate.
Having a parking ticket escalated to weed bust is the cop LOOKING for a reason to bust the kid. It's different.

Hand's first hearing was supposed to be in September.
I can't find any google results to an article to say what happened.
Have the charges been quietly dropped?

See what I mean? Undisputed facts run counter to his narrative. Instead of perhaps reexamining what he thinks or having the self awareness that his perceptions might be incorrect he just plows ahead truth be damned. Welcome to Trumpmerica.
