I assume Chuck has been terminated and every text message and email he sent is being poured over to see if Bruce had provable knowledge of what was happening. AU better get deep into the weeds of its program. There is a solid chance that basketball at Auburn is now essentially dead. Even if the ncaa doesn't completely hammer us, recruiting is going to be tough.

Yea, that wasn't well phrased. They were in the wrong, but they were just unfortunate in that they were the 5 guys out of 200 that got targeted and caught.

The lanscape of all sports needs changing.

pfft he should be given a raise, he's out there grinding in the recruiting game

So it is a little bit wrong place, wrong time.

Just when you think that College Basketball couldn't be filthier . It's almost the moral equivalent of dog fighting, at this point
So if we don't have the one and done rule, does this stuff really go on at such a high rate? All of the really high rated recruits just go pro and get paid anyway and colleges deal with the kids that aren't at such a high demand.

Every college coach has to be puckering up knowing the FBI could be tapping their phones - boosters too.

Wow. In no way do I think this stops with the 4 schools that have been mentioned thus far-this is going to get nuts.

Has it been pointed out that Auburn is not the only SEC school caught up in this? Lamont Evans apparently was arrested for his time at South Carolina

I don't believe it has but it clearly states that Evans is in trouble for events at South Carolina (and OSU). So that ain't good for the Cocks.

Agent/Financial adviser working with the FBI used a suit seller in NY to arrange a deal with Chuck Person whereby the Agent would give Person and college basketball players/recruits money in exchange for Person steering the player to that agent.
Also, happened with other assistant coaches/bagmen at other schools.

There are likely dozens more doing similar or same thing, but to say "wrong place at wrong time" is just not accurate. Being in the car with a friend who happened to have weed with him and you didn't know it is wrong place at wrong time. Taking $100,000 in bribe money and then filtering about 20% of it to players and their families is not wrong place/wrong time type stuff, IMO.

The NCAA won't do anything to anybody. They allowed this dark underbelly of the game to develop over decades and they know they are just as much ar fault as the men arrested today.

Going to be even more interesting when the FBI starts twisting arms and asking people to turn on other people.
I hope they don't talk to Bowl, AU24, and Rabern. They know where all of our skeletons are buried.
