I agree. Faking something like this to get sympathy and take heat off of Sumlin's terrible coaching is disgusting and pathetic.

I don't want to read 17 pages of shite to find out if someone answered the question about a post mark?

This is almost undoubtedly a fraudulent letter.

Return address to country club, no post mark. If this was not meant to be mailed there would be no stamp or return address. If it WAS mailed there would be a post mark. Also, it's a female's handwriting. I mean, not necessarily, but damn sure looks like it.

If Sumlin's wife wrote this letter, it will be found out quickly. Then they will be packing bags...And potentially be looking at legal troubles too.

About as horrible as the Jamie Howard scarecrow hanging in the quad after the interception game vs Auburn. People get stupid over this stuff.

I'm not trained at this, but it looks pretty obvious that the envelope and letter have been written by two different people.

On further inspection I think maybe this was just a case of the wrong address. Looks like it was meant for a Keirn Sumlin. Classic mix up

77845-4541 is 100% the full zip for sumlin's address. Now we need someone to confirm if it's the precoded return or the barcode put on by usps sorting.

Sumlin should come out as gay.

1. A black gay man is never getting fired.
2. He'd be a hero to most of the TAMU student body

I would hope that at some point someone has answered this but I'm not reading more than a couple of pages here... The envelope has an IM bar code that has been generated for sorting usage by the post office on it below the address. It looks like it was probably incorrectly sorted into the bulk mail (or perhaps was indeed bulk mailed to every person they wanted to insult). At any rate, bulk mail even when correctly processed will not have a visible postmark. It's not abnormal for mail to be received with an absent postmark.

This forum for stamp collectors had an example that was similar from a few years ago: https://www.stampcommunity.org/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22247

ETA: I'm not saying it's *definitely* legit, but the absence of a postmark doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Letter has a return addess from Houston, TX

Tony Buzbee, a regent, publicly threw major shade at Sumlin.

Buzbee owns (managing partner of) The Buzbee Law firm.

Buzbee Law Firm is located in Houston, TX.

If anyone attempts to tie it to Buzbee, the discovery process will not work out well for them.

A morals clause should kick in for something like this. Even if her goal was to call out a racist, the result is a largely negative backlash towards a "racist" Aggie fanbase and administration. But that's what makes this letter all too convenient. It's from an anonymous sender who makes no reference to Texas A&M, posted by the wife and not the coach and mailed to their personal address rather than the school. I'd never defend the racist individual that sent it but what she did was far more damaging and both the Sumlin's know it. These kinds of things have to stop.

How would a single folded letter of that size fit in that envelope? Just in the past year we have seen dozens of cases of false flagging, 99% of the time, race is involved. I'm not saying coaches don't get hate mail, and I'm not saying black coaches especially, but this letter looks incredibly fishy to me. Honestly, could you really put it past the realm of possibility that this dudes wife in an emotional state, couldn't do this to drum up fake outrage and support in a desperate moment?

I know. Dude is a real shark. He'd own their arse & the asses of their great-grandchildren. I was just being funny to bring levity to this thread. It was a joke. No one in their right mind would think Buzbee sent this crap letter.

I'm sure this has been pointed out, but does that really sound like the wording of a racist football fan? " get lost or else"? "You suck as a coach"? I don't know man. That was written by a chick. It might be a racist house mom that is an Aggie fan, but that letter was not written by a dude.

Some of the posters here really suck arse. Do you feel like an internet tough guy by going after a coaches wife? You are a much bigger bitch.

I just did a quick check on my mail and none of the stamps are marked nor are there barcodes at the bottom. Maybe it's a Texas thing or maybe the mail has changed. Sumlin's contract is guaranteed. He'll make $30+ million at TAM. If he got fired tomorrow, several teams would be lining up to hire him. Do you really think his wife would stage something so personal. frick off!!!

-He owns a law firm, so he can't be a complete idiot.

-He's on the A&M Board of Regents so I doubt he wants negative press for the university.

-He's an A&M football fan.

Why would he have anything to do with this letter? It literally accomplishes the exact opposite of his desired agenda for the football program and the A&M community.

Move this garbage to the politics section. Can't be fricked talking about racial shite during CFB season. Shame on all the mods who are letting this shitfest carry on.
