I saw someone make a comment like this the other day, but why isn't there contingencies in place? We all know the gulf, and east coast is prime tropical storm season this time of year. Perhaps the two teams when scheduling should find other venues just in case. As an opposing fan I could care less if one team doesn't get to play, as long as it doesn't give them an advantage. On the play off argument, it then goes back to , why the two teams didn't have a backup plan.
A number of backup plans were proposed and possible. Florida didn't want to play the game that weekend.
Other schools had their games played. LSU has a history of moving locations and game days in the past to get games played. Moved a home game to Arizona State, moved a game from a Sat night to Mon night, moved a game from South Carolina to BR. LSU will get this game moved.
LSU has a proven track record of working through these tough times and getting the games played. Florida has no credability for managing these situations

It really spoke to the incompetence of the SEC than either AD by waiting so long to make a decision

And we got them in their beloved baseball too.

Arkansas beat Florida and beat their arse.

Because Florida is the one team out of five that was unwilling to discuss contingencies in the week leading up to the game. Four other teams, no problem.
For the record, LSU didn't get what they wanted, they had to cancel a game for the second year in a row. LSU wanted to play Florida on the weekend it was scheduled - just like the other 4 games that were adjusted to accommodate weather conditions. For some reason UF is the only school who won't cooperate.
No, because Florida is a big boy like LSU and didn't let Alleva bully them around like they did to USC and now BYU.
Let's face it. LSU bullies other programs and tries to twist a crisis to their advantage. UF called them out on it, and they starting crying like babies when forced to "make-up" the free home game by traveling to Gainesville twice. Oh the horror!
But in the end, Florida won. In dramatic fashion. With some hilarious play calling buffoonery by CEO & company which irks their fan base to the utmost.
So get off your high horse; you picked a fight with a bigger kid and lost.

It had never been a problem for the schools to work it out between themselves before Florida got involved.

Enjoy that victory little pig. You probably won't get many more. Thanks for those 2 SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS

It's cute you think UF is bigger than UT.
Tennessee wasn't scared to play on Monday night, and yes, LSU lost that one too. But we weren't scared to try it again last year at Florida.
Why so scared, Florida?

Then why was Florida so scared to play LSU in Gainesville on Sunday or Monday like LSU suggested?

UT was already scheduled to come to Baton Rouge for that game. I was at the game.
Actually, Tennessee tried to have the game moved because Baton Rouge was base of operations for NOLA Katrina recovery. But guess what??? LSU BULLIED the Vols to come down here anyways. Even though their fan base had no hotels, flights or anything.
The funny thing about the game....LSU lost that one too!
Oh, and the Univ. of Tenn. at Knoxville is about half the size of UF.

Wasn't safe. And what's the rush? They could play in November anyways.

So this is twisting a crisis to their advantage.
LSU: Hey, Matthew is a category 5 hurriance. Maybe we look at alternatives for the time or location.
Florida: The game is scheduled to take place in Gainesville, on Saturday at Noon.
LSU: We can play on another day, like Sunday. That'll work for us.
Florida: The game is scheduled to take place in Gainesville, on Saturday at Noon.
LSU: There are other places along the gulf coast we can play. Would that work?
Florida: The game is scheduled to take place in Gainesville, on Saturday at Noon.
Thursday afternoon
Florida: Due to the change in the course of Matthew( ), we cannot play the game in Gainesville Saturday.
LSU: We can even just fly in, empty stadium, and play the game.
Florida: Nope. We're gonna cancel it. Let's reschedule for later in the year.

LSU fans also forget that in 2005, they forced UF to come to Baton Rouge even though it wasn't safe at all.
I had a hotel and everything and shite was canceled because of the refugees. That's fine, but you cannot have the game there if people can't even stay in hotels. Florida still went there. I still went there, sleeping in the car and remember debris still being on the interstate.
So another reason to say frick LSU. You guys don't budge for anyone.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me to see Florida try to beg out of playing Michigan in Dallas.
Pussies.

Exactly, and LSU hosted the game on Monday instead of Saturday as scheduled.
What LSU didn't do was try to weasel out of the game like Florida tried with LSU.
Your trolling has no effect on me.

Alleva asked earlier during that week about moving the game, but Foley said no, it'll be in Gainesville. He said that all the way up until Thursday, and then it was too late.
There was a precedent for this. 2005.

Jesus, you really are a pussy. You might as well stay away from Dallas if Michigan forces y'all to still play there.

Bullying? Wasn't UF insistent the game was being played at UF as late as Tuesday or Wednesday? UF, with permission of SEC stalled much too long

Can't believe I would ever witness the dumbest, most illogical post in SEC Rant history, but I think I just did with this one. Wouldn't expect anything less from brainless Florida dipshits like you.
