Daves Darkhorse Saloon in Starkville should no doubt be on this list. Best pizza around.

No Jacks BBQ in Nashville = List is not legit

List is shite for one reason, I've been in every Sec backyard and I am telling you Starkville has drawn some kickass cooks. I bet 90% have not been to Starkville in the last 10 years. Telling you right now it has grown yes but it's gotten some kick arse food
Bull fricking shite. You have 1 good Chef plus that new unique BBQ place up there. I mean you probably think that your glorified Applebees, Harvey's, is fine dining.

This is an Andy Staples article, correct?
If so, he's as close to the ultimate college town food expert as they come. The man knows good grub.

I just moved to Athens GA 6 months ago. (yes LSU fan in Athens GA) I actually live in Watkinsville home of Zack Mettenberger so there is some LSU here. Anyway, Have to try this Pulaski place. we love it here, great place to call home, but after 25 years in Dallas Texas I am missing two key things.
1. A quality(real) Mexican restaurant - Not the TexMex over cheesed stuff
2. BBQ.

3. Brisket at Fargo's in Bryan, TX
Glad Fargo's got love. Roommate's dad brought us a family platter before a game and it was one of the best hangover meals I've ever had.

Haha, it's hard to find good Mexican food in Dallas...some great Tex-Mex, but hardly any good Mexican food. Maybe I haven't dropped far enough south of town or something...

No love for Baton Rouge, list is sh*t!
According to the first paragraph, Baton Rouge is disqualified for being a capital city, not a "college town".

At least he didn't give the address to Archibald's - and people out of the loop can still go to the restaurant and not the smokehouse. Damn i need to get back there, it has been way too long since I've been in there.

What are some of your favorite Mexican dishes that aren't served at TexMex places?

Satchel's caught on fire.
