1. LSU
2. Ole Miss
3. Florida
4. Alabama
5. Auburn

LSU is impeccable. Loads of on-campus foods and activities.

Ole Miss is the ultimate on-campus party IN THE GROVE. I say that, because outside of the Grove is different.

Florida has some awesome tailgates with some really cool and interesting people. Never a dull moment.

Alabama has a whole campus of people ready to watch some football and eat some Southern cooking...and they sure know how to cook.

Auburn has the whole area crammed to to gates of Jordan-Hare with more beer, liquor and light-appetizers than you could ever dream of. Just booze and eat comfortably....just remember the meaning of "comfortably" and all is good. Just have fun.

I like all of these places.

They all have the space, resources, and women...and they all really know how to use their own campuses to provide an ideal game-day experience without having to step foot into the actual town.

Now, bar scenes and cities/towns are different.

But I LOVE a good tailgate each football season.

Your own?

You need to get out of your moms basement more.

I do each season to go to SEC football games.

You never know though, I might actually drag your own fat-arse mom with me this season from both of our basements.

We might need the "jaws-of-life" for her though.

Please tell me you have insurance.

In my honest opinion, I feel as if the WLOCP is the best tailgate atmosphere. I have been to numerous campuses and games, but this one every year has been the best to me

The WLOCP is without a doubt the greatest. But it is unique, you must admit.

That event is really only for UGA and Florida fans.

It is truly something to see, however.

I am talking about on-actual-CAMPUS-tailgating.

Love UGA vs. Florida however.

I would love to experience that one day.

True that, I honestly have never been to the UGA vs AU game in AU, I would like to get over there one of these years to watch it. No doubt it is a unique tailgate for UGA/UF, but if any other fan happened to be in Jacksonville at the time, It is a great atmosphere to tailgate in. Most of the fans are actually welcoming to each other. The main games I go to are only our home games, or when we play in ATL or JAX. Can't get away from work long enough to go to a true road game....

Don't know if I could single out one but LSU is hard to beat with the food and people of Tiger Nation. Knoxville has always shown me a big time as well. I haven't hit them all but tailgating is part of the Southern DNA, so I'm sure every school throws down and shows their visiting guests a great time. I don't think I've ever had a shitty time visiting another campus for a game/tailgate.

LSU, and its really not even close. Ole miss talks all that shite about "winning the party" but Ole miss can't throw it down like LSU can. Louisiana has a party culture by nature. There's always some sort of festival going on, which gives people an excuse to party. We live it 365 days a year and do it really big for football. So yeah, LSU throws the best tailgates without a doubt...and i have been to every sec west opponents stadium besides texas am, and some are pretty good but dont match LSU. LSU party animals! geaux tigers!

I can concur for LSU.

Auburn and LSU are really well "acquanted".

We have had our share of tight games, but I LOVE their fans.

They have a very proud, yet open, tailgate experience.

Don't be too intimidated.

They will flood you with beer and food.

If you've never had a fully operational r2d2 pour you a perfect temp beer while it's wearing a bowtie, you're missing out

Reason# 974,385 why LSU tailgating is #1

Yep...

Head spins and makes r2 noises
The wheels are powered... you can drive it with remote control
The arms fold in and out under power
The tap has a sensor on it to know when the cup is there to pour the beer
Has cooling elements to keep the keg cold
Bowtie

It's an amazing piece of work

Eta: if you're ever at LSU, it's at Mean Streak Tailgating, located on the parade grounds... throw them baws $5-$10 bucks and r2 will keep the cold ones coming all day

Really "Big" for LSU football!

Not much else going on in Louisiana.

LSU Grads have to move out of state to find decent jobs.

Not everybody is enamored of the "Party Culture."

I don't know about Florida being that high, and UGA has to fit in somewhere (maybe at the back), but it's a pretty good list.

Also, Tennessee tailgating is solid, they're probably in the mix. Doesn't mean Vols don't suck though, of course.

I'd move Alabama up that list. Their tailgating is way underrated.

The grove is quite possibly the most overrated place on the earth.

1. LSU
2. Bama
3. MsState

no one else matters

Auburn's tailgate scene was better before they chased everyone off Wire with the concrete pylons.

Auburn's tailgating is hurt by that, and it just varies too much. For huge games in great fall weather it'll rival any other SEC school. Sometimes it's just too quiet and spread out though.

UGA is the same way (hit or miss), but with a more fun/arguably trashy crowd.
