no douchebag, it's not okay to hit women

he didn't "hit her" per se and he didn't "put his hands on her" per se, per what those phrases usually are meant to describe in an altercation

plus this "unwanted touching" BS - that's her too being a drama queen, liar, pathological liar

she's a fricking redneck lying little count bitch

done and done

no it doesn't; she was the one that got shoved - all she did was retaliate in kind. He tried to get away with it acting like he didn't know what she was talking about.

I think he is also referring to the part when she freaks out and tries to go after the Florida players

You have reading comprehension issues bro?

In what world does shove = hit?

I can see you're getting a little emotional about this, maybe that is hurting your ability to read. Best to take a break and come back after your nap.

They're probably both a-holes

He pretty clearly moves his hand awkwardly to bump her... the idea that this is "unwanted touching" or "putting his hands on a woman" is doing a great disservice to what those terms actually mean. He looks petty but it wasn't a shove either... If all she does is push his back and make some comments and walk away, it's probably a non-story on her end and he just looks like an idiot, but instead she proceeds to go on a tirade and teammates have to grab and restrain her... the both end up looking like a-holes... end of story.

I guess I just don't see what everyone else see's in the video. It would be nice if we could see more than just the one second it happened. When I watched it and then read the responses on tRant, I was shocked. I just don't see anything egregious done by the coach. The way the girl reacted afterwards seems to me like she was looking for something and got exactly what she wanted. Trash

All I see is a guy doing the usual pleasantries after a game -- congratulating the other team, win or lose -- and not really paying close attention. After a few hundred games under your belt, you stop focusing. He didn't even seem to really be looking at her. His hand moved to high-five and since the hand he expected to encounter wasn't there, it kept going and touched her shoulder. I have no idea if the guy is a douche or not -- I don't pay as close attention to the dramatic storylines of college softball as I should -- but there appeared to be nothing intentional there. Just a coach bored with this formality after every single game and not focusing on the people he's high-fiving.

There is a reason eye witness accounts are so faulty as concerned to accuracy. It is impossible to see something without viewing it through your own person prism of experience.

That being said...it is pretty clear the coach was showing "tough love" after being dissed two post games in a row. He was wrong. She may be petty but as a 19 year old athlete that is her prerogative.

I disagree. Her reaction and the way she tried to go after everyone else showed her true colors to me. She was looking to instigate trouble and got exactly what she hoped for. All she needed was any excuse to try and start shite...Just the way I see it.

I really don't desire to defend her. She is a 19 year old athlete. He is a coach, paid by a university held to a higher standard. If someone shoved me like that I would react to it. His reaction seems pretty clear...he knew what he did and intended to down play it after the fact. Thankfully the UF AD stepped in and forced a pseudo apology.

His action to the next player was completely different than towards her. She also did the same thing the previous two games, with no incident. It is just after UF loses that the coach changes how he acts towards her.

I think it was more because it was the last game of the series, and that was his "frick you" back to her after she refused to acknowledge him the previous games.
