Dude you personally chastised people for posting in coaching changes threads during the LSU non-search that weren't LSU fans.
I've read this 5 times now and still have no idea what the hell you are saying or how it relates to my post.
My point was simply that no one is still seriously saying Saban is leaving for the NFL. That was it...
what I meant by the cc board post was implying the cc board threads about Saban leaving were 100% trolls/ in jest.

Bill Belichick and Pete Carrol's head coaching careers didn't start off great either. I'm not saying Saban would've been a HOF NFL coach but no one really knows how good or bad he would've been based off 2 years.

I think history has proven that5 of those NFL Management staffs know very little about managing a franchise. Two had to move, two need to move and one ran off their best coach since they went to the Super Bowl. The NFL is a "too big to fail" business that just recycles the incompetent.

Saban is no bellicheck, and no Pete Carroll either. He's a college coach which is ok but he's no big league, he's not the majors.... He's best bullying 18yr old kids and running his 'system' ..... It's kinda sad I mean he is executing the formula but it's not some big mystery why he's successful....

So now Coasch Saban is responsible for teams even after he leaves? Wow, just wow.
To some extent, yes. It's not like his failed draft picks were magically replaced after he left. His lowball offer to Drew Brees and the subsequent acquisition of Daunte Culpepper are on him too.
And before you say it's all the medical staff, I'm sure Nick Saban got told what to do by the medical staff. That's why people tried to avoid "Coach," like that poor secretary who brought the wrong Little Debbie snack. They were scared of his meek and passive personality.

#4 - Saban's coaching style does not mesh well with paid players.
Exactly.

quote:His "Process" for success is really no mystery at all. There are dozens upon dozens of write-ups and articles on "Coach Nick Saban and Alabama Football" over the past 8-10 years. They provide very detailed information about how he operates and runs his program. He's been picked apart by analysts, sports media members, sidewalk journalists, and rival fans over the years.
It's kinda sad I mean he is executing the formula but it's not some big mystery why he's successful....
With all of that inside information into is program and management style it is amazing that other SEC HC's couldn't have taken just a few items from Saban's script and fielded a solid team consistently. Yet, Saban & Mullen are the longest tenured HC's in the entire SEC today.

NFL teams should be glad he turned them down, because now they will be able to go after Yaw Yaw after this year.
Yaw yaw yaw yaw yaw Pro Football.

My point is any fool can run an NFL Franchise. What is the worse thing that can happen if you have a losing season ? You fire a coach, frick up a draft pick and you still make money hand over fist.

The series on recruiting in the Tuscaloosa News is an excellent picture into why he is so successful. Nothing is left to chance and there's a "method" for achieving all the things required to be successful. Bottom line is simply...it's Saban.

And of course Finebaum chimes in with "he's just waiting for the right opportunity and will get bored at Alabama".
First it was "Saban will retire after 2016". Now this.

I heard those teams wanted to include his Bama involvement on his BIO page of their websites, and he just hated that, so he said no.....
Posted on 3/2/17 at 1:19 pm to StopRobot
why would he go to the NFL?
In college he can choose the players he wants to pay...in the NFL he is stuck with them

Those are things he thought before the administration decided to accept all grades of athletes and pay whatever he asks for himself of coaches. Then the SEC decided to not call penalties until after the game is in-hand.
Now he's fine staying there. It's a cake walk.

Saban's not stupid. He knows that his greatest chance for success is at Alabama where he has a sizable talent advantage almost every time they take the field. He also knows that none of those 6 teams has an elite QB. You can't win in the NFL without one.
