Nope, in the old days Wendys was the shiznit, then Dave went away and the corporate folks took them into the crapper. When he came back for a bit it got good again but lately they have gone back to the crapper now that Dave is dead.

Think of it, you name your business after your daughter. No daddy on this earth would let that thing fail. Corporate guys could care less.

I believe Wendy's invented the modern fast food salad bar. I read Dave Thomas' book years ago. It alternates biography chapters with buisiness/leadership content.

I clearly remember Wendy's at one point being a slight notch above "fast food". It was the only one where you didn't have to throw your own trash away when you were done because they had a paid employee there waiting to do it for you and to clean off the table for the next person.

ANother things that's weird though, is how once a fast food chain gets off the ground, it never dies. Have you noticed that?

Theyre like government programs and roaches. Name one that hasn't survived in some form once franchised.
