Read on Twitter yesterday(so obviously take it with a grain of salt) that 82% of Americans did NOT vote for Trump. That's taking into consideration HRC voters, 3rd party voters, those ineligible to vote, and those eligible that did not vote.

I didn't drill down into the linked article to verify the info, but that is a staggering number if accurate.

Whatever the number is, he didn't win it. And somehow it's being justified. if the results were reversed there would be an uprising from Trump supporters, and rightfully so. But since it worked out for them, we will continue on business as usual and they will criticize those who protest.

Everyone hates cheating until the cheating benefits them I reckon.

It is reasonably accurate, but misleading. Trump got 63 million votes. The US population is 323 million, so that's 19.5%. The misleading part is that it isn't terribly outside the norm. Only 20.4% of the population cast a ballot for HRC.

Why is it misleading?

Using the same terminology, 80% of Americans didn't vote for BHO in 2012 and 77% didn't in 2008.

Going back further, 83% of America didn't vote for Bill Clinton in 1992 and again in 1996 - so using that metric, I could just as accurately say that a higher percentage of all Americans voted for Donald Trump than voted for Bill Clinton.

In Ronald Reagan's two devastating wins, he only got 19.5 & 23 percent of the total population's vote.
