He will get a shot to play. I heard Bama's new kicker is awful.

Like worse kicker Saban has had awful. That is saying something.

Bulovas is supposed to have a very strong leg and be excellent at kick-offs...however, if the high school stats I saw were correct, he wasn't very accurate...

JK Scott had this to say 'bout him after the season (from 247):

But Scott, who said Bulovas is “actually probably the best at kickoffs, really,” was impressed by his kicking power and desire to get better during Alabama’s practices during the 2017 season.

“Joe’s got a very strong leg,” Scott said. “He’s got very, very powerful legs.

“Joe’s growing a lot right now. He’s a very talented kicker, really training hard right now. I know Joe. He’s one of those guys that’s always in there, getting better, working. I think Joe’s got a very good work ethic, and that’s going to help him in the long run.”

Confirms his strong leg...but I find it either odd or telling that he doesn't mention his FG kicking...if this transfer kicker works out, maybe it will give Bulovas another year to work on it...

I spoke with a guy whose son went to kicking camps with Bulovas and knows him and his family well state that Bulovas is having difficult right now getting his kicks up in the air. He is kicking a lot of line drives right now. They are unsure if its mental or a change in technique.

Wow, how many kickers in a row have we had lose their minds when they got here? Bulovas was supposedly solid and looked decent in the Army game last year.

Off Topic but it looks like Michigan State's athletic department is about to fall apart. Their AD resigned, now Barstool Sports on twitter is reporting Izzo and Dantonio will follow shortly. Will be interesting to see what comes out of all this.

It's a big deal... the University President resigned Wednesday (same day as the Nassar sentencing).

quote:

MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY administrators have long claimed, to the federal government and public, that they have handled sexual assault, violence, and gender discrimination complaints properly.

But an Outside the Lines investigation has found a pattern of widespread denial, inaction and information suppression of such allegations by officials ranging from campus police to the Spartan athletic department, whose top leader, Mark Hollis, announced his retirement on Friday. The actions go well beyond the highly publicized case of former MSU athletic physician Larry Nassar.

"Mark Dantonio reportedly handled a sexual assault case by telling his player to talk to his mother about what he did"

Oh boy. All that respect for Dantonio gone in an instant.

Bentleys' Junior highlights are what I like seeing for a LB.

The ballcarrier doesn't advance after Bentley makes contact, he stone walls them or drives them back.
