This isn't 8 straight years for Nebraska. It's 20 years. From the beginning of the Pinkel era both schools have the same number of 10+ win seasons at 5. That's not going to blow an 18 year old away.

Gabe said this will be a busy day for Mizzou, no longer a member, so I assume he means more than one recruit expected?
Cameron Taylor is a name to watch

Holy crap, yes it will because Missouri has no tradition of championships, subpar fan support and subpar facilities. I really enjoy talking to adults like you who think because its what you would do, then thats how it is. Not to be insulting, but talking to fanboys with blinders on is a vicious cycle that never ends.
Nebraska is a name every house across the country knows, Mizzou isn't. Even people that dont follow football know who Nebraska is.
Nebraska is pulling 4* WR and QBs out of Califonia, Mizzou will never do that until we at least make a couple Natty games, thats just the truth of it.
There are many factors recruits look into when it comes to recruiting and Mizzou falls way behind in a lot of those categories, just facts.
blueblood status, top 5 program status doesnt change based on how many wins you do or dont have over any period of time. Its set in stone because its history goes back to the beginning of the game.

You keep comparing Mizzou and Nebraska. Instead of comparing Nebraska to bluebloods like OSU, Alabama, Texas, USC, Michigan & Clemson.
Nebraska is probably the 4th best team in their conference behind OSU, Michigan and PSU.

Clemson is a blueblood? you need to earn any credibility back with everyone after that crap.

And you're bad mouth a program trying to degrade them just because of your dislike, but also still consider Texas a blueblood, although they are, the irony is thick.

To a 15-18 year old Clemson is absolutely a better program than Nebraska.
Clemson spends at a higher rate, has better facilities than Nebraska, is in the middle of a major recruiting and population hot bed.

Im done ruining this thread, cant help those that dont want help, like a crack addict.
You just called Clemson a blueblood and they're not. Maybe if they win 5 more nattys to make up for their past then sure they enter the discussion. You talk about Nebraskas past over the past 16 years since their last NC game appearance but just completely ignore Clemsons periods of average to below average ball on par with or worse than what NU produced the last 16 years.
Theres not talking sense to someone with an agenda flip flopping his argument in an attempt to make a point....clue what applies to one applies to all its not a selective argument.

Probably just generational differences. I'm young enough that I barely remember the legendary Nebraska days. Teenagers being recruited definitely have no memory of Nebraska being an elite program. On the other hand they definitely see Clemson as elite with back to back title game appearances.

Kids(recruits) get to go to Lincoln on game day and see eighty thousand plus screaming fans decked out in red and white. They get to see their National Championship trophies and banners for winning the B12 and B8 numerous years. Recruits get to go to a meaningless vanilla schemed spring game and see eighty thousand screaming fans. Remember that today's kids love the glamour and attention.

Cameron Taylor has a final 3 schools and will be announcing his destination in August. Mizzou isn't one of them.

And that's not unique to Nebraska. Recruits can go see the same things at OSU, Clemson, Texas, FSU, PSU, Michigan, LSU, and Alabama. All of those schools also have had success in the lifetime of those recruits, Nebraska has not.

Their dads and uncles remember those days and they only go far back as the 90's.

Nebraskas a blue blood. But they are definitely not a national brand. They have a really good recruiter who's on his 3rd dui. Their head coach was Keyshawn Johnsons former coach so his son went there and got all his California friends to go there and started this big old hype train. Just went there. Got my degree from there for financial purposes. That's why they're recruiting well. Now let's talk about who missouris getting

All this damn talk about the Nubs on the recruiting thread and I completely didn't see that we had a commit. If you guys want to talk Nebraska beyond head to head recruiting battles, I've got no problem with it. Just start a new thread about whether the Nubs or Clemson are blue bloods.
