I don't know - what would Malzahn's offense had looked like had we signed a guy like Leonard Fournette? Obviously, its an extreme example but you get what I am saying. An elite bruiser can make a significant change to any offense, even Gus Malzahn's offense. Last year we saw just how unsuccessful an offense can be without that type of player when KP was hurt. KJ kept getting bounced backwards it seemed whenever he carried the ball (albeit he had a significant ankle injury).

And when KJ was healthy he was running it between the tackled and running mother tickets over too, and doing it very well.

How he looked at the end of the season had everything to do with his injury, not that Pettway wasn't playing

Not all that different than last year with Pettway. Maybe a couple long runs go the distance instead of chased down, but that's about it for difference.
