Is he the one that recently camped at Auburn and basically ran by every defensive back?

I think he is good enough to be a 4*. I really like him as a prospect. I've watched him play a few times. He just looks like it is so easy out there.
Very smooth in and out of breaks. Doesn't have a ton of moves with the ball in his hands but I think his combination of size, speed and hands make him a great deep option for us down the road

I'll give you another reason to watch them. 2019 WR George Pickens. He looks to have more upside & explosiveness to me in the long run.
Oh ya Pickens is gonna be a big time target next cycle. I think he played mostly JV last year. Hoover's passing offense is going to be stupid good

Ya apparently he won ever 1v1. As E said not sure how great the competition was but he did what he should do and was clearly the best WR

Kodi Burns the 3star WR master recruiter.

Yep. Ran back to back 4.31 and 4.32 hand timed 40's as well.
He honestly reminds me a lot of Corey Coleman, but maybe a smidge taller, little better route runner, but not quite as dangerous in the open field. Just watching how they attack the ball what not, looks similar. Hope he turns out half that good on the field.

Numbers Game: Tigers still have lots of work ahead (247)
quote:
The commitment Monday to Auburn by 3-star receiver Shedrick Jackson of Hoover (Ala.) gives the Tigers seven pledges for the class of 2018. That means the Auburn staff still has nearly two-thirds of the remaining spots to fill.
Here’s a look at where things stand numbers wise:
TOTAL COMMITS: 7
SPOTS REMAINING: Approximately 16-17. With some recent transfers, Auburn is inching toward a full class of 25. There is no set number for the class at this time. It’s always fluid, right up until National Signing Day.
CLASS RANKING: No. 47 overall (up from No. 53), No. 10 in the SEC.
AVERAGE RATING PER COMMIT: 88.68 (90.00 is the 4-star threshold). Auburn’s average is higher than two programs currently in the top 12 of the 247Sports team rankings -- including No. 3 LSU (88.50).
***SPOTS BY POSITION***
Quarterback: 1 (committed)/ 1 (spot to fill)
Running back: 1/1
Receiver: 1/2-3
Tight end: 0/0-1
Offensive line: 2/3
Defensive line: 1/3-4
Linebacker: 0/2-3
Defensive back: 0/4
Athlete: 1/0-1

Stars don't matter to Brannigan up until it allows him to bash the coaches for not getting enough stars then they really matter

3* RB AJ Carter just flipped from UCLA to LSU. That's 3 RB commits in 3 days. Very curious to see what Joiner does now

I'm glad someone gets it

I take it in a case by case basis. In this case AJ was very lazy in practice & the weight room. That shouldn't be rewarded with an unconditional release. If he busted his arse & it didn't work out then ok. I could see a full release then.
I can certainly understand that thinking. Makes sense.
But I'm an Auburn fan, regardless of who is wearing the jersey. If I have to pick sides, I'll choose to back the coaches and University pretty much every time.

He is going to Blinn CC, then can go anywhere he wants. No release required.

If he's a lazy bum let him transfer wherever he wants and let those coaches have to deal with him.

quote:Yes but those coaches are in the real world making a living doing their jobs & have every right to advance their careers. The players are contracted to exchange their athletic services for a quality education. They are not paid employees nor should they be. Since the school is giving their education resources a player should not be freely let go because he doesn't like something athleticlly especially after 1 year of not giving real effort to make things work.

Its a BS system though when a recruit has to delay his life for a year while his coach acts like a douche bag. If you arent going to pay them at least give them more freedom. Who gives a f if he was lazy or not.

Aren't scholarships supposed to be a year by year basis? Is it fair to these kids when their scholarships aren't renewed, or they are told to look elsewhere?
