Other than Monk and Fox they are not nearly as good and deep as they have been in recent years.

Yeah I only see them beating us by 20, would be so embarrassing for them.

Right now they're about middle of the pack in terms of Cal teams at Kentucky. Not as good as 2012 but definitely not struggling near as much as Knight and Co. or Noel and Co.
I disagree about your Monk and Fox notion. Gabriel has a ton of upside and has been coming along the last few games. He plays more last night if he doesn't share the spot with Willis who was pretty on from behind the arc. Isaiah Briscoe is still a very good player, but has dealt with double teams against Tennessee and Kansas (and it's showed).
On the upside, as Cal said last night, it's all fixable issues if guys are willing to buy in. They still have a very high ceiling if it ends up "clicking".

I thought this was supposed to be the greatest group of incoming freshman in the country

I am hoping UGA will be back to playing with confidence after a solid second half against Texas and getting the A&M game off the brain.
If UGA plays like they did @FLA and for the first 37 minutes of the A&M game I see it being somewhat competitive before UK pulls away in the beginning. How do UK fans see this game going?

They're freshmen. I don't love this team right now but all that matters is the tournament. It'll either be fixed by then or not.

You don't think Bam is any good?
But, this team plays a bunch of undisciplined basketball and gets inpatient which has cost us vs UCLA, Kansas, and UL.
Sweet 16 is attainable with this team..,anything better is gravy.

I think the best way to describe them is they're still playing like how they did in the second half of last season for them where their guards were their best players, except Adebayo is showing he's good enough to get involved a lot more when he hasn't been.

Good, yes. But they aren't doing fundamentals that more experienced teams show.
It's the downfall of Cal's way. The stars of the team are young, and if they don't have a certain maturity level, this is what you get.
Unless they wake up, they are headed to an early exit in March.

Adebayo is one of the strongest freshman I've ever seen

Thank God for this. Maybe y'all will only beat us by 40.

UK sucks at basketball.

Oh, they are all very good but they are in a slump of playing undisciplined. Teams that have exposed that have beat them. Even a barely above 500 Tenn team got the lead on them and they could not discipline themselves to control the halfcourt game and work their way back into it.
January's are historically bad months for Cal teams for some reason. They usually hit a pretourney improvement in Feb but that remains to be seen. If LSU keeps turnovers to a minimum and plays some defense they could stay in the game until the last 5 min. If that happens it becomes a 50/50 shot because this team has not done well in closing games that are contested.

If they don't show some defensive maturity in the next couple of weeks, they won't win the conference, much less make a deep run in the NCAA tourney. Kansas' older players simply ran them out of Rupp in the second half last night.
Florida will likely beat this team twice and claim the SEC crown unless Cal can convince these guys that defense wins games in basketball, too, not just football.

Calapari grabbed 5 students from the student section and still won by 25

I don't think Michael Buffer cheesiness was enough to get them over the hump this year.
Going to have to go the extra mile. Maybe hit someone over the head with a chair at ringside.

From the few games of theirs I have watched, it appears Adebayo needs to touch the ball on every possession, he has the potential to take over games and either score, get fouled, or make a good pass out of a double every time. Plus he hits his free throws which is nice in a big man

That is pretty accurate. One other issue this squad has is they dont have a dominant forward. They got some good shooters in that position but nobody strong down low to help Adebayo out. Also they are running a three guard offense most of the time
