Its as if bama isnt on an unheard of run of success and all bama fans have is trying to trash other program's players. It's pathetic.

Last year Fournette had a great season and played only 11 regular season games and LSU's lack of success had nothing to do with his abilities and total on coaching by Les Miles or lack of.
This season surely smart fans understand injury. No need to defend only stupid people post anti Fournette threads to be honest.
He played only 7 games this year and half of those was not full speed.
Your are correct he did not live up to opposing fans expectations because his lack of winning the Heisman.
anyone judging a college player on winning 1 award is near sighted
LF7 had a great career at LSU played brilliantly in all games except BAMA last two years but who has dominated against the BAMA defense the last two years

why don't you worry about Alabama and leave LSU to worry about itself.

The majority of the Bama fan base are obsessed with the success they have had and are in fear it won't last much longer. They can't enjoy the success, so they have to lash out at others to make them feel better. For them to have such a good team you would think it would be natural to praise other teams and be happy that they are just better than those they played.
When the run is over and they start to slide they will use history to try and make them feel better, but in reality they never fully enjoyed the ride because they are to worried about it ending.
You see examples of this in every thread they post in, just watch the reaction to what I have posted.

Same reason Auburn fans defend Cam . . .
They all got the gay for him

Wrong about what?
Gainesville is a shithole town in a shithole part of the state
The best thing to do is visit Orlando, a shithole, or drive over to St Augustine beach
As soon as you get within a couple miles away from campus, it becomes trailer park trash
everyone drives frickin' scooters everywhere for fricks sake. It's an awful place
I was offered a GA spot as the guy who referred me did that and went on to work full time as a strength coach after finishing up some post grad work
I kindly turned that offer down after 4 months of living there and don't regret it for one second

I agree with the LSU posters who feel this thead was only made to further pour salt in a recent wound when it comes to LF
I am a huge Bama fan who also played and coached the game. LF has all world talent as do a number of athletes every year. He was a great SEC RB and put up some amazing numbers during his college career. With that said, fan bases tend to place extreme expectations on elite players assuming they will be able to perform at the highest level possible with their skills and ability for 3-4 yrs. they seldom factor in other external factors such as injury, health, family responsibilities, accidents, etc. This is exactly what happened to LF. I read the countless threada here the last 3 years about how LF would be the greatest SEC RB of all time. There were some who claimed he was already #1 after last year. His sophomore season. Thats a huge mistake to go out on that limb. So many things can go wrong. But thats what Fans do. They are Fanatics. So when you do that and whatever happens and a player does not live up to the lofty expectations or "guarantees" you have to deal with the consequences and flack. If you boast big and take that risk, you are subject to excessive servings of crow if you are wrong. Regardless of the reasons.
I always thought LF would be a great college RB. And he was! Its a lesson to everyone. Dont put someone at the top of the mountain when they have not even put in the time required to even be in consideration. I know this will not likely happen with any fan base because we all like to brag and boast our team has the best players.
Any more threads about LF are only to push buttons. He was very very good. He achieved a lot. He fell short of some of his own personal college goals as well as some absurd expectations put on him by his fanbase. But that is not a negative reflection on his ability and skill. We fans tend to make Gods out of mortals and then make excuses when they let us down to protect our own pride.
Good Luck LSU in your bowl game.

At least LF7 played about 20 odd games for LSU. More than double what Cam Newton played for Auburn.

This is basically a synopsis of LSU's recent past to today

If you added up all of his results of games against teams that ended up in the top 25 since he started at LSU (including the Bama bummers), he still averaged like 4.3 ypc against the best teams he faced. He really only choked against Bama. And he was in a Les Miles offense where the passing game never finished above a 100+ ranking and the same 3-4 plays were called over and over against one of the best defenses ever - he wasn't really set up for success against them.

is it choking against Bama if you're hit in the backfield on 75% of your carries? because that's approximately what the stat was.
in 2015/2016 Fournette averaged over 6 ypc in SEC play. D. Henry averaged 5.54 ypc in SEC play in 2015/2016.
