The SEC as a whole is returning a ton of starters which should produce a much better product than we saw this year. For AU we lose our best 2 defensive players but return a lot and also return a lot on offense. Once again we have been tasked with the toughest schedule in the SEC. 5 road games with an average stadium capacity of 85k and three consecutive SEC road games @LSU, Arky and A&M. Thank you Birmingham. I will say 8-4 again.

Auburn just has to solidify the QB position, and find a pass rusher to replace Lawson.
We've recruited the shite out of some DLinemen the past few years so we'll, again, be stacked there...but not sure if Jeffrey Holland is going to be an 8 sack kind of guy. We'll see.
Sean White is good enough to win with, if he's healthy, but unfortunately he struggles to stay healthy. So, if we land Stidham I think he wins the job and SW will be his backup.
Gus, however, still has to find a way to overhaul our passing attack. It's some HS Harry bullshite. We have about 4-5 REALLY good freshman/soph WRs (Nate Craig, Kyle Davis, Eli Stove, and Darius Slayton) so the QB will have targets to throw to.
I think AU is a 9 win team that can do more if things go our way.

Depends on how our first year QB does...like usual

I root for O to do well as doing so is good for LSU, but think objectively that his hire is a serious error that will ultimately set the program back further. I will be shocked if we do not walk off into the 90's college football abyss under his leadership.
Projection: 6-6
Wins - BYU, Chattanooga, Troy, State, Ole Miss and Syracuse
Losses - Auburn, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, A &M and Arkansas
Just pessimistic on this hire.

No bueno for the Tigahs. We lose a ton of starters, and have one of the toughest schedules in all of College football next year.

We have 12 games scheduled.
Depending on the results of those games, we might have 1, 2, or even 3 more games.
I don't think we play a game until next September so the view is fuzzy at best.
I'll guess somewhere between 0-12 and 15-0

Offense will be experienced and hopefully deeper at RB & QB. Our ceiling depends on Stidham. If we land him I think we challenge Bama for the West. If not I think we are an 8-9 win team again.
Lose some big names on defense (Carl Lawson, Montravius Adams) but we will still be 8-10 deep up front, even deeper at LB than this season and return the majority of our secondary. I think defense will be about the same level.
Also Legatron is probably back for senior year. If everyone doesn't get hurt again and we have a QB we will be a solid team next season. How far we go depends on the QB position and how many whirlybirds we run

this will get better ... if Chaney won't do stupid shite.
As someone very familiar with his work, it won't get better.
Smart better be crafting a short list of OCs for the 2017-2018 offseason.

Defense: I would say a huge drop off because we lose some starters but I don't know how it could get worse. It seems the defense is a wild card most years. A lot will depend on what we do at DC.
We lose a ton of starters in the front seven, and I'm somehow okay with it because they turned in the worst defensive performance of my lifetime.
If we get a new DC, I'll be optimistic.
We quite literally cannot get worse.

Auburn will be a 10 win team next year barring injuries.

Not if Gus has anything to say about it.
Y'all should have had 10 wins this year with that defense and he found a way to frick that up.

Yep, six months ago I would have said the 2017 defense would be bad and it still might but it can't really get worse than this past year.

Something doesn't fit here. If A&M under Sumlin can't beat an LSU team with an interim head coach and missing 5 starters on offense and defense at home what makes you think they're going to win in Baton Rouge with even LESS talent and the same bad coaching?

As a whole. Every team in the west BUT A&M, who loses their starting QB (Knight), best WR (Reynolds), both Offensive Tackles (Gennesy, Eluemunor), both starting DEs (Garrett, Hall), 2 starting LBs (George, Washington), and both starting safeties (Watts, Evans). The only starters worth a shite who return are Kirk and Keke.

Good offensively.
Unknown on defense with lots of inexperience in the front seven. Very talented, though, so we'll still have a good defense.

6-7 wins and the seat is very hot. He will have periods of time where he looks confused and lose to teams we shouldn't. So is life under bert
