None, but they could open a hole in the middle and block the LB that is spying. The tackles can push the DE too far into the backfield and give the QB a lane to escape the pocket.

Well they are back ups for a reason, usually because they are young and inexperienced. Strength has little to do with it.

Serious question, do you actually watch Bama football games? Because I have watched them quite a bit. And I'd bet that over 75% of Hurts's designed runs are at the edges of the defense.
In fact, aside from the odd QB draw, he almost EXCLUSIVELY runs outside the tackles.
