You are talking about what happened after a hurricane. There was no unkown then

you have absolutley no idea what you are talking about. Katrina hit on monday and Rita hit on Friday.

Matthew is going hit tomorrow !!!!!!

of course i agree, but the problem is this game could have happend had florida wanted it to happen

Katrina hit in late August. It had dissipated by August 31st. The Zona State game was played around Sept. 5th.

ETA
Google is my friend....Katrina made landfall on August 29th.

You idiot. This is exactly why the Tennessee game was moved to a Monday night because of the pending storm Rita. Same exact situation. LSU can do it why can't uf?

yes, BEFORE the game when it is even easier to get out folks out harm's way while everyone is being evacuated and be at a safe place DURING and immediately AFTER the storm and a place where the game can be played. But no incentive to do any of that when you don't want to play the game and see the storm as an easy excuse to chicken out.

Or for being a flame. Obviously he was looking for a specific response given the title which was meant to antagonize LSU fans.

Did LSU offer to pay UF's way? I'm not sure about UF, but I believe Auburn makes about $3 mill in revenue for a home game.

LSU played as the away team and South Carolina made money on the game last year.....just so you know....now go back to your sheep or goats....they miss you....very lonely.

Gumps would have managed to burn the UF campus down while the hurricane was underway if this happened to them. Fortunately the REC would have never let it get this far in the first place.

do you understand that game against ASU was our home game, that LSU had to give up and travel to ASU?

So L5U didn't get the game moved to a home game for you

This is really what this is all about for LSU fans. They have sat around all week thinking UF would have no choice but to go to BR and play this game and they got excited about that being the case. Now that is isn't the case , they're pissed. I wouldn't want to give up a home game to go play in BR either. Especially to go play in BR!

So then you are talking about a totally different situation than Katrina. There is still unkown right now.

ETA and there is a chance this game will be played at a later date. It's just not being played this weekend.

Cockwad, in case you did not realize things, South Louisiana was one big refugee camp at the time and the LSU campus was overflowing with thousands of refugees.

Foley and McElwain could have gotten the team out this afternoon and landed anywhere in the Mid - South safely and a game could have been played....hell, I would have gone to Jackson, MS for the damn game for a neutral site. I'd have gone to Memphis and dodge bullets...it did not have to be in BR

Yes....more than a week after a storm hit.....not the day after a major hurricane hit. Why don't you get that?
