Had they known he was this good they probably would have

I think they are recovering from years of cheating and it's taking a while to get all of it out of the program and learning how to win without it.
Yep nailed it. AU's success in the past is purely based off cheating but we are trying to put those dark days behind us & grow into a respectable program....

No. Seems to me Gus needs the exact right QB to run his system
This is Miles problem too
The problem with that is he often does have his perfect QB, it's not until forced to start a different one that we do well
2011: Jefferson suspended
2012/13: forced to go juco, couldn't find a hs recruit that didn't fit his system
2016: forced to start Etling (another transfer) to prevent getting fired week 2

've always heard from LSU friends living in B.ham for decades that the Little General shut down a lot of the over board cheating that was going on, specifically a system where AU players were directed to go a certain booster's chain of cleaners for their "dry cleaning". Upon picking up their clothes, the money was in the inside pocket. Story goes that he lost it when he heard how systematic is was; an AU alum supposedly told him :'Coach, we're tired of losing to bama. We mite as well cheat & win some games". Any one else in Aubb land heard this one?
I'm always impressed with the intimate knowledge all the other fanbases seem to have AU's supposed "brilliant" cheating enterprise

No, Gus was told to limit his playbook to 5 plays per quarterback.
And one whirlybird per fullback?

What point are you trying to make?
He's trying to reinforce the notion that he might be severely mentally handicapped. He's doing a fantastic job.

No thanks. You write like you are 13 and certainly aren't to be taken seriously.
