No Lsu in top five a lot of people gonna be shocked
A lot of people are just down on LSU because of the extreme disappointment week 1 relative to preseason hype.
On the Field we have a 2 pt loss to a "top 10" team in their home state, and an expected comfortable win against a good FCS team.
Nothing special, but every team besides Bama and A&M have a "nothing special" performance in the first 2 weeks.
UT: OT against App St
OM: 2 score loss to a good team
-nothing wrong, but nothing special
Ark: 1 pt win over La Tech
UF: 13 pts against Massachusetts after 3Qtrs
UGA: 2 pt win against FCS team
LSU: 2 pt loss against Wisconsin in Wisconsin
Miss st: loss to South Alabama

What is false about that statement?
I don't think they should be either. But as I said, on the field we have a 2 pt loss to a "top 10" team in their home state, and an expected comfortable win against a good FCS team.
If it was a less hyped team that exact statement wouldn't seem terrible. Just because we aren't as good as we hoped doesn't make us worse than we actually are.
Explain to me why you are not discrediting any other SEC team (besides Bama and A&M) due to their subpar performances this season:

Ark: 1 pt win over La Tech
UF: 13 pts against Massachusetts after 3 Qtrs
UGA: 2 pt win against FCS team
LSU: 2 pt loss against Wisconsin in Wisconsin
Miss st: loss to South Alabama
You could use any one of these to explain why LSU is terrible and not top 5 worthy if it had been us.

LSU not terrible
Wisconsin not top 10
Wisconsin not top 10

While I agree, the AP poll has them at #9.
They have averaged 10 wins per season as a program over the last 7 seasons, including 30 wins in the last 3 if you want to go recent. Dropping a close game to Wisconsin is not necessarily a worse showing than any of the performances i mentioned above.
I realize you took it to them last season, no one is claiming LSU is on Alabama's level. I just don't think that loss disqualifies us from top 5 in the underwhelming SEC at this time.

They also had LSU as a top 10 team and most around here new that wasn't accurate.

Yes, preseason.
I've already said I don't think Wisconsin is the 9th best team in America, but to compare the accuracy of week 1 polls to week 3 polls is dumb.

I give the gators a slight nod over Tennessee due to the Josh Dobbs factor.
I will admittedly say that I realize I have the Hogs too high and my hopes will likely come crashing down at some point.... just let me enjoy thinking we are that good for a few weeks!

Right now before this weekend...
1. Bama
2. Tennessee
3. Ole Miss
4. Florida
5. A&M
But... after this weekend it will definitely look different.
Bama vs Ole Miss
A&M vs Auburn
Miss St. vs LSU
Georgia vs Mizzou
Those four games will help settle some questions though.

Come on guys, yall had LSU as undisputed national champs before week one, then lost and called for Les' head again, and now after beating Jax State by 3 touchdowns you're back to thinking LSU is top 5 in the SEC. They haven't proved jack. That's not a very impressive win imho...not enough to warrant bumping them back to top 5 in the SEC.
If they come out and thump MSU then sure, speculate away, but I would be more shocked if they covered the spead than if they didn't. It's looking rough, fellas.
