If you sign up for something, you finish it. If he wanted to transfer after last year fine. You do you. But to quit the team after one game to go sit on your couch is some pussy shite. Buck up and find a way to help your team in some other way.
Burns was in the same position. Stuck it out and found a different way to help the team. Wallace stuck it out and tried to find a way to help the team. Doing that benefitted both guys. Kodi became a beloved player among Auburn fans and has now worked his way to be WR coach. Does he get that opportunity if he just quit? Probably not. Same thing with Wallace. He didn't quite become beloved but he's respected and is now in a coaching role with Auburn.

I agree with you and finally glad to hear someone on here nut up and sound like a man, but him quitting tells you all you need to know about him and why he needs to be gone.
The SJW remark is in regards to all the whiners wanting to say the fans shouldn't have been booing, because the kids may have thought it was directed at them. BS!! Gus deserved every single boo.

Like I said in the OP, I am student and I honestly have never booed I think it's childish and I hate it, but like Chex said I couldn't help it. The WHOLE student section booed every single time he made a QB change and it got louder and louder. It had nothing to do with JJ. Although, when JF3 came in I heard a good applause from the students. Either way, I never boo and I let Gus have it. That shite was pitiful and the alcohol I had been drinking since 9 AM that morning surely didn't help it only made it louder. It was so pitiful.

-JJ doesn't deserve any booing. He isnt up to the job and that's fine. Gus is at fault for putting him in a position to fail.
Jake Holland sucked, but it was EJs fault for letting him play.

I blame Gus and our quarterback coach. Does Gus have a quarterback coach?

I wasn't at the game but the booing came across as if it was intended for Gus on TV not any particular player
It happened for Gus but I am sure any player would have thought it was for them. It happened on every JJ mistake. Even when he had to call time out to get the play correct.
If he leaves and Sean White gets hurt, we are fricked even more just as we were with the RB position. Your QB will be JF3 who cant throw a pass on target more than 5 yards.
And I will disagree with some of you here. Jeremy Johnson has put in a lot of work in the past 4 years on the team. He has filled some gaps for us at times when he was needed and has kept his plate clean. No off field issues and I am sure has worked as hard as everyone. He has been part of the team and deserves the right to finish his senior season as part of the team.
Now I know it sounds like he "Quit" so it is his decision not to do so but I wont be happy that a guy who has put in that much work and dedication is no longer on the team. You guys have at that

But APPARENTLY JJ quit the team.
IM NO INSIDER AND DONT KNOW shite SO TAKE IT FWIW
You the same guy who posted to reddit saying you have a friend on the team?

Maybe JJ is getting ready to play basketball.

The real shame is it's happened yet again. Here's another star prospect who's been lauded in public by everyone, someone whom all the talking heads have gone goo-goo over, and everyone's been let down (player(s), family, and fan). Hot on a trail of dead QB dreams it's hard not to ask who's at fault?
The blame is it us asking too much, the kid's for dreaming too high, or the press for doing what they've always done? Perhaps some should never have been given the keys.
Yet here we are again, another fool me once - shame me twice moment, where the common denominator is not - one single player.

If true, good! He played like a ballerina ... We can only hope Gus quits mid season like Tiny Terry in an effort to bail out our equally under qualified poor decision making AD...

Agree with all this. The Bammer like obsession with results by so many people on here takes away from what makes Auburn special. That is kids like Jeremy who have given it all they had. I hope the experience doesn't have too much of a negative impact on JJ in his life.

Hate this for the kid. I really can't believe he didn't transfer after last season. There's a ton of pressure on the QB and a lot of outlets for fans to dump on them.

You're a loser I can only hope you're an angry kid, who will hopefully grow up soon.
Posted on 9/8/16 at 7:15 am to Zeroforwinger
Actually I expect competency considering the level of investment... The kid should be playing ball at the fcs or DII level. The days of coddling have come to an end unless JJ can have the pocket declared a safe place!

You've made no investment. The kids have. They can critique themselves, and you can to an extent. The way you do it screams that you're either an immature child, or an adult who sounds a lot like a Bama fan. Maybe you're surrounded by too many and its rubbed off?

He should have. Guess he was told he'd be bumped to third string officially and decided to hang them up. Good luck JJ
