The problem is that the initially worthy dialogue was hijacked by assholes. Look at Shaun King who Kaep follows religiously. On twitter he literally does nothing but post every bad thing that any white person does to a black person. None of the good. None of the bad that black people do to each other or to other races. None of the good stories where people live together. Kaep has been sucked in by the anger and hatred that so many are stoking because that is the easiest way to gather people to their banner.
We need stronger voices to prevail and salvage what once seemed like a positive development.

Wrong, have you ever tried to get financial aid for school? Hint; if you come from middle class money good luck. If you come from nothing you will get the money.
Where is the injustice in this?

I didn't say it was an injustice, try to keep up. I was responding to how poor people do have every opportunity to change that.

And generally speaking, the BLM movement has come with ignorant stances, vague demands, and a lack of identifying what legislatively needs to be changed.
This is a complete lie^^^^.

I truly thoroughly enjoy watching football, and especially when I see multi millionaires on national television protesting because of oppression. Yes, the humor in that is "family guy" worthy... God Bless their little hearts...
Oppression- the exercise of authority or power in a burdensome, cruel, or unjust manner.
What does his wealth have to do with the fact that CK dislike oppression. A dictionary is your friend.

It honors the ideals that our country strives (though sometimes fails) to live up to and recognizes the courage and sacrifice of the men and women (many of whom were and are black) to allow us the opportunity to live under our freedoms.
Thank you.
Where I work is very near the end of the 1965 Selma to Montgomery march - a time of oppression unlike anything known today.
There are historic markers with photos of that event on our lawn. Want to know what they show?
That flag that those NFL idiots are protesting? The people that were getting beaten and even killed for marching were carrying it.
Frick Kaepernick and anyone that joins him.

Plurals are obviously not your friends.

What proof do you have that they aren't.

What proof do you have that they are?
Affirmative action programs prove they aren't oppressing minorities. Though deep down affirmative action and welfare are what is causing the black community so much strife. It's not some police department or white republican.

So much insensitive is this. You must be a miserable person

what proof do you have that they are? the government especially. individual people? sure, some people are just assholes. systematically? this is where the BLM falls short and fails to identify the systematic problem that can be changed.

I'm so glad you used affirmative-action. Affirmative action has helped more white women then it has minorities. I can give you all the data that would suggest this but you would not believe it. I suggest you do a 45 minute research on affirmative-action and who it benefits more.

ok, now prove they were government decisions intended to oppress minorities. you know that water crisis affected everyone in that city equally right?

Government making bad decisions isn't oppression.

I think it is funny that he protests against a symbol of his freedom to protest.
