So sounds like he roughed up a girl. Also sound like we should be applauding Gus dismissing him. This wasn't a media story where he had to coordinate damage control. Gus seems to have taken the initiative here...

Can we not conclude that this kid is a prime A frick up, and this was the best for the team despot his talent?

I doubt she invoked a title IX investigation after Jovon politely led her by the wrist to the hallway.
Either way, Gus tried babying football players last year by making them shovel horse shite and it ended up blowing up on us. No coach will lightly cut ties with their 1RB.

What an idiot.
He thinks coaches don't like him, and his solution is to show up late all the time and have a bad attitude. Way to ruin your career before it starts. Yeah, the coaches are out to get one of the best players on the team. Moron

Hey can you do us a favor and not make Auburn fans sound like women abusing tolerant douches? OK, thanks.

Nobody on here would be tolerant of abuse but at the same time nobody knows what really happened.
Maybe Jovon is a POS who deserved to be booted but given the current climate on college campuses across the country you're being extremely naive in blindly accepting some scorned girls word.
Ultimately it's a crappy situation either way.

How did you react to Jameis Winston?

If this is all how he supposedly "escorted her out of his room," the fact that the police weren't called in a classic domestic disturbance and/or abuse is a pretty weird detail
I have no idea what happened, but most cases I hear about the police are involved very early. There is a red flag either in the story or in how we educate these college students on how to properly report a crime

That the police department purposefully botched the investigation but no one can truly know his guilt/innocence.
His cavalier attitude about it and way he handled himself though makes me think he sucks as a person

Yeesh. I'm actually quite proud of Gus for seeming to both manage the situation justly and not have it fester into a media debacle.

After the initial day it happened, I think most now see that this was the right move.

I agree. If Jovon by his own admission was being a difficult person on the team then has an issue with a woman it is time to just cut ties.

So if I were to go up to your mother/sister/wife/girlfriend and grab her wrist and start pulling her because I didn't approve of where she was or what she was doing, that'd be OK?
