Anyone else notice when 247 put their depth chart article up, they had "Christian Miller/Jamey Wilson" as 2nd team SAM?

At first I was like "Who the frick is that?", then realized they meant Jamey Mosley.

Glad to see him hanging in there with some big names...

That's the kind of bullshite Saban says when he's trying to placate a player who probably feels a little let down that he's outplayed the competition and didn't win the job.

I'll support whoever Saban trots out there but I've seen this movie before. I know how it ends. I hope I'm wrong, God. I hope I'm wrong. And I won't be on here saying I told you so. Coach Bryant tried the same thing in his last years, starting the senior who bided his time as the perennial backup because he wasn't the most talented guy. The more talented freshman was on the sidelines as #1 Alabama took a 28 game long winning streak into Starkville and left a 6-3 loser as the senior QB fumbled away the snap on 4th and goal late in the game. They stumbled again later that season and finished 10-2 despite a rock solid defense and talent everywhere except at the trigger. Yes, we've started the senior guy the last two years and yes it has worked. It won't always work every time. And it made sense the last two years. Not much separation between the guys. This year, from what we read, there is. If Bateman is successful, I'll shut up. But I'm afraid we just gave SC a huge boost in this game and a chance to win.
