He (Saban) even went on later in the presser to talk about how Diggs struggled once the team started putting in the game plan because he started seeing formations that he didn't know how to adjust to. If it can be that difficult for a kid playing DB, imagine what its like for a kid playing QB.

I have a copy of the 2003 LSU defensive playbook in a binder at home. It is about 3-4 inches thick. Likely 250+ pages. it covers everything from blitzes, coverages, and what to do by play-call by formation (and how to use their color coded audible system when the formation changes based on motion).

It would be extremely difficult to grasp that quickly as an 18 year old whose HS playbook was likely 10-15 pages thick.
