Randolph Duke is DOIN' WORK, folks

He's really gonna show stoopid aggy
TLDR: Duke has the military academies, at his personal request, investigating numbers they have been aware of an accepted without challenge for almost 70 years. Dude has MAJOR pull.
quote:
I am in the process of getting hard numbers to prove or disprove the **** claim that the contributions of both West point and Annapolis during WWII were so insignificant neither of their contributions approaches even half of what some cow college in Texas contributed. I sent an email to Sherman Sleep, Historian at the U.S. Military Academy as well as a phone call into teh curator of special collections at Annapolis. It seems the military academies are far more concentrated on developing leaders to protect the country than they are in claiming credit and making everything about them, so they don't have the number of graduates who served during WWII readily available, but they are working on it.
The cow college in Texas, on the other hand, has rough numbers but I find them highly suspect. Remember, they claim Horace Carswell to be an ****, even though Carswell was a graduate of TCU and even in the letter delivered to his widow after his death, Carswell spoke of his beloved TCU. Carwsll was not an ****.
As soon as West Point and Annapolis get back with me, I will pass along the information. After that, we will see what hard numbers the cow college wants to offer. Maybe Telco can get the **** Commandant involved and get us an official response.
Bottom line, West Point and Annapolis are both aware **** is claiming the contributions of the academies during WWII were vastly inferior to the contributions of the agricultural branch college of The University of Texas. They are working on the numbers and I am sure they will respond appropriately in due course.

"In due course" for this case means "sometime after the return of Christ".
Also:

The difference is less than 3,000, or 10% at best.

I cannot imagine an adult human emailing a Military Academy for the sole purpose of disproving a claim that anonymous posters on the internet are making.
Serious question: Who is this guy? Is he affiliated with the Longhorns in any way? I guess I just don't see why he is so worked up. Just trying to be a hero on Shaggy?

It's a LONG story. One in which I will happily defer to others to answer.
He's the t-sip version of Don Quixote...only not as successful.
He claimed to have sent an official request to SECDEF Rumsfeld and Gates to get A&M's status as a Senior Military College revoked. I'm pretty sure that correspondence never made it within 3-4 levels of the SECDEF.

He is mentally unstable. If I was an A&M higher up I would ban him from ever being on campus.

Very apt description. He's a guy who lives alone in a one bedroom apartment somewhere along the west Beltway (people on other sites have done research on him) who devotes all of his ample spare time to researching the history of Texas A&M in various and sundry attempts to defame the University. It's one of the saddest/scariest things you'll ever read about. He fits many of the red flags of a terrorist.

And don't forget guys that the Colt's lawyers were THIS CLOSE to shutting down the whole 12th Man thing because of him.
I am scared his is going to dig up Patton one day to try and prove the quote wrong.

The quote was never proven right or wrong. It went into folklore as something Patton probably said but no one ever confirmed.

Without us Charles would have shot up a school or become a serial rapist, so I honestly consider his whole situation a best case type scenario. He's seriously fricked up in the head

He might be a "cereal" rapist, sticking his pud in boxes of Frosted Flakes yelling, "I'm pushing your shite in, Tony! Take it!"

West Point and Annapolis reps likely both cracked quizzical smiles after hanging up with this chucklefrick, then promptly forgot all about him

"Chucklefrick"
What a fantastic word.
What a fantastic word.

I genuinely think he has severe marital problems or something. I really feel bad for him.

I mean I don't like the guy, but like, you don't act the way he does unless you're legitimately unstable. This isn't some weird kid. This is a full grown adult. Something is legitimately wrong with him.

He's a psychopath. I wasn't joking when I said he would be the type to shoot up a school or do something crazy. He has legitimate problems. Probably schizophrenic or Asperger's or something
