Please don't even put us in the same sentence. Ole miss has had a couple of 40 win seasons and you think they're elite?? lol. MSU is baseball in the sec and the rest of the country. We basically gave birth to college baseball and its a slap in the face to compare us with you pussies up north.

Yale was college football royalty too. Then everyone else started to care about it and suddenly they weren't.

Ok? We just won the sec and our fans are disappointed. We are one of the best two or three teams in the country regardless of the bogus super regional. Like I said we are the sec and that's not going to change in this century

Even Mizzou has a baseball natty....

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say a natty is mandatory for "elite" status (think UF).
As for fans and stadiums both are elite (as is Arky).
If not, all three are but a season away from it.

Since when has actual achievement prevented elite claims from Ole Miss?

Thread is pointless. Both schools are clearly in the top 3 or 4 programs in Mississippi.
HTH.
HTH.

I bet, if you polled college baseball fans across the country, they would say that LSU is baseball in the SEC.

Nope. Very good programs. Similar to Arkansas and A&M. Tier 2 level.

Both pretty awesome programs.

Hahahahaha! So bogus Super Regional because you lost, but if you would have won, not bogus Super Regional. Am I right? What a joke...

MSU, Florida, and Arkansas are all in the same category. The no natty club. They are better historically than Vandy, who owns a natty.
Florida St, on the other hand, has been to CWS 21 times, but no natty. Would you consider them elite? Shouldn't they be elite?

SEC's top 5 programs over the last 20 years have been: LSU, MSU, USCe, Ole Miss, Florida. And that pretty much means you're a top 10 national program. So yeah I'd say Ole Miss and Mississippi State have elite baseball programs right now.
Same as Virginia Tech being considered an elite football program under Beamer or Oregon being considered an elite program now (although neither have won a title.)
Is Dan Marino not an elite QB because he never won a title? What about Patrick Ewing?

I didn't know what to do with Arkie and Vandy.

Ole Miss has not had more success than Arkansas over the last 20 years. Arkansas has more SEC titles, more NCAA appearances and more CWS appearances.

Outside of Hokie fans, who the hell considers them elite?
Hell, if they're elite, then so is Boise.

No nattys so neither are elite. Sorry but it's the truth. MS State > Ole miss though.

Ole Miss Baseball is not elite.
Ole Miss Baseball facilities, fan support, MLB alumni, and program investment are all elite, without question. The results, however, are not. One SEC Tournament championship, one SEC championship, and one Omaha trip in 16 years under Bianco.
