The SEC won't be paired against each other in the super regionals if there are seven #1 seeds.

So why does the tournament switch back and forth between single elimination and double elimination again?
Is it because they want a semi-competitive tournament that gives some teams extra games to bolster their resume but at the same time not burning every one of their pitchers for the NCAA?

Saturday Semis

Tuesday Pool C (1) Pool A (2)
Monday Pool A (1) Pool B (2)
