The two are not the same thing. You can be a good man of upstanding character and not be a good Christian.

I make it clear that I don't think he's involve or has direct knowledge in the shenanigans

Then he is doing a very poor job of controlling his program

So every coach should have complete control and knowledge of what everyone is doing on his staff, athletic department and every booster?

Not sure how to take this, but welcome to the Ole Miss family Sarge?!?!

Should every coach have knowledge of what is going on inside his program? Yes
I'm not saying it is easy or fair but its part of the job.

Possibly true but I don't see Dan using religion as a recruiting tool either. I don't know Hugh personally and honestly when I first saw that he preaches at local churches etc. that it was a great thing but it is more detrimental to the Christian faith and mission that he does these things in public and lets everyone know how strong he is in his faith and then turns a blind eye to his players and their drug use etc. . You can't have it both ways. He chooses to put himself and his faith in the public arena and that comes with responsibilities that he now has to uphold. I am not saying that he is faking his Faith to benefit himself but I am saying that if he is going to share his testimony etc in public that comes with responsibilities. Otherwise non believers will look at it and say he professes his faith and then turns and allows players to do this and that. Again, not saying he is not strong in his faith and is truthful when he does what he does but if so he needs to be more careful of how that can be perceived by non believers.

I believe Freeze is a good Christian man and that his character and moral fiber are the main reasons many top athletes and their families gravitate to him. I think it's horrible but expected that the world wants to tear him down for no reason. Until anyone shows up with proof that he knowingly did anything wrong, I'll stand by him.
I do believe there are shenanigans taking place in the grove, but I don't think Freeze has or has had anything to do with them. They are also probably far less severe than any of you think.

If you think and coach has any idea about everything his staff is doing that's crazy. It took the NCAA looking in to the improper benefit for Saban to get to the bottom and firer his assistant for improper visits. I guess he is failing as well.
I don't think so but by your unrealistic standards.

In that instance, he did fail to run his program. You seem to think because I said a coach has to have knowledge of his program, that in turn it means he should be held responsible for all the actions of his staff or the people in the program. This is not some type of new concept. In many companies the boss/CEO is responsible for many of the employees' actions whether known or unknown to him or her. That doesn't mean they are a terrible boss/coach or that they should be punished. It is a reflection on the coach though.

True. You think that might be why he put them both in his post?

To most of these posters on the rant, the only proof they need is the arse kickings they've been administered. to them, that is enough.

I do see a good deal of petty jealousy aimed at ole miss these days. Was it embarrassing to lose to ole miss, yes, am I going to trash a good man over it? No.

His staff? Absolutely, without question
AD? Absolutely
Every booster? No
It's part of his job and the job of the AD to know and control what staff members are doing.

Let's say you're right and Freeze is the only person in America that didn't know about Ole Miss cheating.
How is that not a lack of institutional control?
