No he goes to a Methodist Church and sits behind a female same-sex couple.

I heard Chip had to take Pinelake out of the Baptist persuasion because of the expensive home. The Baptist frowned on the money spent.

Window dressing surpassed only by Booby Bowden himself.

I must ask, why?

He always struck me as some kind of Methodist.

Well considering he coached at a private baptist HS I'd say he attends a baptist church.
Briarcrest is actually non-denominational

They typically talk a big game and try to out Christian other Christians any chance they get. But then behind closed doors they are doing the same stuff everyone else is doing.

Awww, you have been burned by the old adage, "only ones going to heaven" CofC folks.
Things are finally changing. But I do understand the though process. Hard lines, hard times.
There is a lot of good there as well with many, where I live the southern Baptist are the most difficult to deal with.

I have watched Freeze for several years now, and can cite only one instance where he lost his temper or otherwise went against Christian principles. And I agree generally that most such people are hypocrites.

Yeah most guys of Freeze's ilk don't slip up when the cameras are on them.

Pine lake is a good church from what I know...not my particular preference for style of worship, but good nevertheless.
I can't think of many churches that are bad. I mean, short of advocating jihad, how bad can a church be?
But their worship style was 180 degrees from what I prefer. The rock band jamming on stage with the people in a big warehouse waving their arms in the air swaying back and forth. It's literally a rock concert. But I get the feeling that the whole thing focuses on the man on stage, more than the man upstairs.

And there is just way too many people. The place is like a factory. 3 different shifts of people just rotate in and out. It's unbelievable. You feel like a number in the crowd.
But to each their own.

How bad can a church be?
Depends on your definition of bad. Here in Northwest Arkansas we have a few of those chain type churches. Where a guy requires the members of his congregation to show their W2s so he can make sure that they are tithing their 10% to the church. All the while he lives in THE most posh neighborhood in the area, disowns his own daughter after being raped because she "dressed like a whore" and routinely guilt-trips people in the congregation into giving more to the offering plate by talking about homosexuality (knowing some of the people there are gay).
World class scum if you ask me, and I'm sure Freeze attends a similar church.
