If we were in the ACC in 2011-2013, we'd have 3 BCS bowl appearances. You can't deny that. The only reason we didn't go to a BCS bowl was the stupid 2 per conference rule.
If you believe that then you are actually making the argument that the ACC is a better fit.
No matter which of the P5 conference you are in each school only gets 85 scholarships...If money was the only issue to championships then Southern Cal, Texas, Notre Dame and Alabama would dominate every year.
There is still this pesky thing about coaching, recruiting, location to quality players that matter as well.
If the ACC is a "Weak" as people clain, then we would be nuts to leave because we have won 2 of three Orange Bowls since 2011 and just played Alabama in a very respectable loss in the National Title Game. FSU is Strong and Miami is about to get strong again. The Notre Dame deal has actually help the brand of the ACC. Even though I hate Notre Dame, they are a national brand and our nationally televised gaem against them was a recruiting home run

No, because if we were in the ACC the entire time we would have never won 11 games. How you can't grasp this is beyond me. Every team in the SEC takes home a HUGE paycheck.

This is all just gibberish. We're supposed to respect the ACC because Clemson played Bama close and Miami might git gud again? FSU and Clemson are the only saving graces and even then, ACC is still about 3rd or 4th behind the SEC, Big 10, and possibly the Big 12. Maybe even the Pac12
Sorry, but the ACC is a joke of a conference, minus Clemson and FSU.

Being in the ACC would only hurt their recruiting

One meaningless game after our coach quit midseason. Program ruined!

Are your saying that you guys could never be as good as we have been and currently are had you guys stayed in the ACC? That is the definition of Never

No, but it would be a lot more difficult.

I know context clues are hard in the upstate, but please try. Past tense is key here.

Damn. It's not even basketball season and it's still all Kentucky for some of you Aggies.

. This University and stadium is in Downtown Columbia and the place has no "college town" feel. I
i disagree with this, I think 5 points, Devine Street, and the Vista do have a college town vibe to it. it would be cool of the stadium was closer to campus or down close to the river but from a traffic standpoint it is in a good location near the interstate.

They have gotten markedly better since joining. Recruiting there has always been tough and they were terrible for a long time. I hated it when they were invited but I wouldn't trade em for nothing now.

Well that's one of the reasons y'all had to settle for Muschamp instead of Herman...

If Herman truly dipped out because of one game, I don't want him as a coach.
