There are some G League players out there that won't be playing around with some 18 year old trying to 1 up them. Might be a good decision for some kids who desperately need the money but if that becomes the norm for some of the more talented kids to go the G League route I expect many failures, not saying there would be more then in college but those grown men in the G league don't mess around. If you're smart go to school get an education and if a lottery pick is available in the draft after 1 or 2 years take it and work it out in the contract that when done playing they pay for the rest of school.

I see what you’re saying. JG will be dealing with some jealous vets with a chip on their shoulders and that will bruise his ego, but at the end of the day his talent advantage should prevail. I also think CBB is a no brainer as far as fan engagement, competitive desires, and college degrees go, but what the G League can offer is a chance to make a decent amount of money while specializing on their professional craft in an environment much closer to home, albeit with less fanfare.
