As long as Sharife reclassifies I’m okay. If Harper leaves and Sharife isn’t on the roster then my sadness will continue.

Are we legit getting Cooper and Boston?

Where did you hear that? Also Cooper is nowhere near ready to replace Jared

I mean, he’s our best option and it’s not even really close. He’s probably not the scoring threat Jared is (yet) but he’s an elite distributor. No clue how he is on defense but we usually hid Jared on defense anyway.
Don’t get me wrong, I want Jared back next year. If he’s not back though, then Sharife is our best bet at PG.

So, UVA wins. With three controversial as frick calls(or lack thereof) at the end of the last three games.
Got it. Definitely not rigged, right?

Agree we should have a basketball NC.

Something tells me the society of NCAA refs feels like Auburn is making them look bad. Like a doctor who botches a surgery and tells the patient you're making me look bad.
Pay back. Bet we get a lot of fouls next year.

The basketball gods won't allow us to win so early. We need to pay our dues. We laying the foundation right now baw. If anything, this year shows how resource rich we are, and how many years we have wasted not taking BB seriously.

Combo Guard (PG/SG) Tyrell Jones (FL via Chicago)
Height: Listed 6'1 - 6'2
Weight: Listed 170-180 lb
quote:
Nickname is “Turbo,” and that describes him perfectly. From baseline to baseline might be the fastest guard in the country.
A jet with the basketball, and also is a very good vertical and lateral athlete. While he isn’t a pure point guard, he sees the floor well in transition and is a better passer than most expect.
His shot is inconsistent right now, but he shows signs of being solid from beyond the arc. Has all the tools to be an impressive guard, but he needs to be more consistent with his decision making. Should develop into a starter for Auburn.
- Scouting Report Via 247
quote:
His ball handling is extremely impressive, and he is money from 3-point range. Though he is certainly a score-first player who can create his own shot, and keep defenders at bay on the way to the basket, don’t underestimate Jones’s ability to distribute as well.
He is listed at 170 pounds, but he has a really solid frame, and could add some significant weight as he continues to grow. The first comparison that comes to mind when watching Jones is Terry Rozier. Though fellow Louisville recruit Rocket Watts idolizes Rozier- and rightfully draws some comparisons- Jones has a similar game. Rozier was a prolific scorer and defender as a high schooler, and Jones brings the same kind of smooth ball handling and decision-making.
You’ll see that Jones has a scorers mentality. He takes his time to pick apart defenders, creates separation using smooth, skilled ball handling, and knifes past them with aggression. He is a crafty scorer, sneaky on defense, and has a fairly consistent jumper.
- Louisville Recruiting Website
quote:
Jones is a 6-foot-2 point guard who can score the ball in bunches and shows some shades of Damian Lillard. He is also a tough defender and just a kid who is very passionate about the game when he is on the floor. Without question, he is a high level and next level talent.

I like it when they describe the player with a passion when he is on the floor. I think that goes a long way for a future PG, along with honing his decision making and shooting skills, that mentally he has that extra, that you need in tough ball games. Same thing Harper brings to a PG.
