Nobody wants to read a book about Columbus, MS.
Hell, someone downvotes a post even talking about it here.
Seriously, though, good luck.
I may read it if I knew what the frick Instagram was.

Hell yeah.
It's awesome. Now it's all raw. Not tempura fried or that crunchy shite.
Living in Tampa spoiled me on sushi. I can't eat anything with cream cheese, tempura, crunchy, etc. It tastes nasty to me.
Idaho sushi restaurants are filled with deep fried rolls. Some of the ingredients would be fantastic, yet they ruin it by wrapping it in batter. It's mind boggling.

Oh lord. I get the crunchy shrimp and the tiger or volcano one. Will try it though

I'm not saying they aren't edible, but living in a big city like Tampa will really open up the number of quality places willing to push the envelope.
I used to be good friends with the owner of Umi's and he told me he'd rather not serve some of the fried ones, but he didn't want to go out of business. He knows where his money is coming from.

So about that article I posted earlier regarding Jarez Parks saying we didn't lead for him... yeah, about that:
Gotta love recruiting this time of year.
quote:
SAN ANTONIO – Four-star defensive end Jarez Parks told 247Sports’ Ryan Bartow on Monday that “you could say” the Crimson Tide has an edge in his recruitment.
During the media availability on Wednesday at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Parks reaffirmed that sentiment.
“Sure,” Parks told BamaOnLine when asked if Bama has the edge.
Gotta love recruiting this time of year.

And people want to rip on "insiders" when things turn out differently. Holy shite, it's a damn circus.

I have watched a lot of Tua's film. He can throw it to any spot on the field. He is very accurate with the deep ball. He is a thrower.

This is fro reel_gator in the Florida recruiting thread. Doesn't matter now, but it's amusing
quote:
On TOS the story is that Leatherwood wanted to de commit and when he called Bama Saban got on the phone and gave him the guilt trip routine about how Bama had turned other recruits away, honor his pledge etc etc and then had some players & other coaches all get on the phone with him to rally. Thats a lot of pressure on a young kid. He should have been told something like " we understand Alex, why dont you think on this some more and weigh your option"? And then give him soft sell approach. Its pretty harsh to think of yourself as a HC instead of the player. Hopefully he can re think everything and make a decision thats best for him. Right now I know he wants to come to UF...thats what is in his heart deep down. But no matter if he flips...we came awfully close....really close. Mac and staff have been bashed by idiots regarding their recruiting and have no clue what our staff has been doing. When a kid is committed elsewhere you dont let news spread if he is interested in UF. The peanut gallery gets restless because they are impatient and havent heard any news about recruits, so it is assumed the staff is sitting around doing nothing. What imbeciles some fans are. NSD will reveal all. in this age of social media the rumors are lightning quick. No one at UF revealed anything about Leatherwood...he went to the Outback Bowl and of course that triggered Bama real quick...hard to hide a 6'5" 320 lb kid in the stands

Rusty is one of the better guys out there IMO.
He does pander a little to the UGA fan base, but that's who he works for so it's to be expected. Same thing with Niebuhr and Auburn.
They're both pretty level headed with their info.

Devonta Smith
The skinny: Can Alabama go back into Louisiana to take one of the state’s top prospects, or will first-year LSU coach Ed Orgeron flex his muscle and keep Smith home? There’s also a third possibility where Miami sneaks in and steals the four-star receiver, so this situation remains fluid as Army week continues.
Prediction: Alabama
The thinking here is this: Coach Nick Saban gets what Nick Saban wants. He has had success going into Louisiana and landing top prospects in recent recruiting classes, and it looks like the Crimson Tide are well positioned with Smith as well. Sure, LSU could keep him home and Miami or another program could come in late, but we’re guessing it’s Roll Tide for the four-star WR.

I can see a scenario where Tua sticks but is letting UM think they have him to avoid more Harbaugh shenanigans like showing up at his homecoming and "accientally" having tickets on the same plane ride.

Alabama commit Kendall Randolph settles in at new position, may not visit SEC East school
quote:
...Randolph is playing for the East team in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday. The game kicks off at noon CT on NBC.
Randolph, who will make his Alabama official visit the weekend of Jan. 27, is playing mostly left guard this week. It's the position where he feels like he'll settle in at Alabama.
"I'm actually liking guard a lot," Randolph said. "This is my first week playing guard and I really like it...
