A reminder that we got TJ Neal last class. I completely forget about him and get excited ever 2-3 weeks when I remember he exists

some of the draftnik types had him as a mid-draft guy in the 4th or 5th round. Supposedly very football savvy.

JGT's article is what got me thinking about him, as I completely forgot about him when we were discussing Steele/D Talent awhile back. Here is what AuburnSports said about him

quote:

ON THE UP SIDE: Experience, size, durability, aggression
ON THE DOWN SIDE: Familiarity with system, speed, agility

quote:

Auburn really needed a sideline-to-sideline guy to complement Tre Williams, who is a solid inside 'backer. Instead, the Tigers now have two guys known almost exclusively for their ability to operate inside the tackle box...........

Maybe a slower version of Josh Bynes? That's still a damn good player

ETA: Does have me curious about the speed of our defense. If Davidson gets serious snaps, our DL will be 275-305+-305+-255 with two bigger thumper type LBs. We'd be asking a ton of our CB/S and 3rd LB/HyridLB/Nickel to have the range to go sideline to sideline

Luckily, other than Clemson/Ole Miss/TAMU, there really aren't offenses on our schedule that attack the sidelines heavily
