The OP has a perspective that a lot of people have.
But, the evidence suggest otherwise more strongly than it supports it.
Just look at recruiting. I am very surprised how well Florida is recruiting right now, especially with the poor play down the stretch.
The jury is still out on MAC. He should have a very poor year next year based on what is on paper. If he doesn't have a poor year, then the rest of the SEC needs to take note that the big dog in the East is on its way back.
If his team is terrible next year, like it should be, then we will all know that he is only as good as his jimmy and joes.

Thats the case with all coaches,Gotta have players to win. And UF didnt have many this yr. 2 Fr and a Fordham transfer on the oline, Fr QB throwing to Fr WRs. No kicker
