2010 Music City bowl
A new rule was created because of how we were fricked over in this game.

Alabama won the SEC that year at 7-0. Georgia's loss to Auburn kept them from winning a share.

I remember watching that 2010 MCB, and wondering how that happened. I went to my parents the next day, and my father was talking about how Tennessee won. I told him they didn't, and he couldn't believe it so he watched a replay to make sure.

Are you talking about the Music City Bowl of the LSU game that year?

It was the 2nd game that year that we won, and then lost.

Yeah, I was laughing pretty hard. You lost the same way to LSU. I remember as the clock was running down saying that they are going to get screwed by the clock rule again

Karma for the 1982 Tennessee-LSU basketball game in Baton Rouge. Took 28 years, but it was worth it.

My first in person was the 1997 Independence Bowl against Notre Dame. First Bowl game I ever attended period to Stanford v ECU in the 1995 Liberty Bowl.
Wasn't that Cutcliffe's first game as HC, though?

(Many = 3. It felt like a lot more though.)

Yes.
The irony of losing to LSU because of having 13 men on the field, and then later losing to UNC because THEY had 13 men on the field. And this was Dooley's best season. It's funny in retrospect but I was extremely pissed at the time.
LSU was our fault because Fooley couldn't count to 11. Losing to UNC was no fault of our own, (maybe our kicker's for missing a PAT.) But they straight up exploited a loophole to win that game, and now we have a 10 second runoff because of it.

1989 Sugar Bowl.
We got curb stomped by Miami.
It made 1992 all that much sweeter.

The Pat Tie Dye Sugar Bowl in 1988. Drove down with my girlfriend (wife) and another couple. Got hammered, watched the tied game and got hammered. Felt like shite for a week after but had a great time.

Remember that one well. Don McPherson and undefeated Syracuse. Man I miss 80's football.
