Fact of the matter is, if we lose just one player (i.e. Saiz) and we think we are doomed as a result, then we do indeed suck. No decent team can lose just one player of Saiz caliber and then all but write off the remainder of the season. I suppose we are "shitaer" than I originally thought. But Moody, now, he's a beast and deserves better. But going forward, somehow Kennedy has got to lay a better foundation from the top of the roster to the bottom if at all possible when the facility upgrades are what they are. I don't think, at least in due time, that is too much to ask.

Hits keep coming: #OleMiss guard Martavious Newby is out, too, for South Carolina with an eye injury of his own.

Is SC -1 the lock of the century tonight?

Ole Miss deserved to win that one. What a shame.

Where was this team against Florida? I know we lost this game and should have one, but the team that showed up tonight would have beat Florida.

I just don't think SCAR is very good. I think we win by 10+ if Moody doesn't get hurt. But he did and we didn't so...

I'm sure when we get healthy we will go back on a run. We are gonna have to win the SEC tourney to go to the tourney though. That's ok I didn't expect much this year anyway.

Here's a little insult to injury fellas. Next up is lowly Miss. State in Starkville and we will be w/o Saiz, Newby and what will likely be a very hobbled Moody. Welcome to the end of the Big 3 wining streak versus State thanks to all these injuries, in basketball of all sports.

And it will be 4 straight losses when we could should have won tonight, could have easily closed out LSU on the road, should have played much better and with some desire against Florida and then will probably be pretty helpless against State. Talk about a once promising basketball season going up in smoke in a 4-game span.

This is going to be about an 18-14 year. We just didn't have much on the roster, but we have a few freshman who are getting some quality minutes and I'm hoping we can build on that going into next year.

That Davis kid looked alright last night.

If Hymon makes 1 more of his 8 missed free throws....

You're right. We have to get our scoring spread around much, much more. Relying so much on Moody is a recipe for disaster (see last night). If we can ever get to the point where we have 3 or 4 solid players and then another 2 or 3 solid role guys things will be far more consistent and successful.

Thoughts on the game Saturday?

Personally, I think with Saiz and Newby being out we will likely get destroyed. Howland will be searching for his first SEC win and who better to get it against than a beat up Ole Miss team.

Plus, we just wont be able to stop Gavin Ware.

A week ago I was a lot more confident about this game.
