I think it is much more of a generational thing. It is just starting to become somewhat more socially acceptable.

What the frick are you babbling about? frick is widely accepted vernacular in all generations. frick should be embraced not marginalized. I mean frick, come on man.

It's just an age thing. When I was younger we threw it around like it was nothing. Now I still use it, but not in a work setting or in front of my Grandmother type thing.
