hought I read somewhere that if TN canned him this year it would be 10 million.?
Not even close. If he's fired before February 28th, 2016, the buyout is $4 Million. If he's fired after March 1st, 2016, the buyout is only $2 Million.
Contrary to the popular opinion of the Simpletons of fricktardia, we could easily afford to fire Jones.
Now, we're not going to, unless something crazy happens, until after March 1st, 2016.

Is it too early to can him though? I feel like ya'll were all in on him.

That is the buyout if he leaves to take another job.
The buyout if he is fired goes down $5,479.45 every day until it reaches $0 on Feb. 28, 2021 (which is when his contract runs out).
If he is fired after the 2016 season (which is the earliest I could see him being fired), he would be owed just over $8.5M minus his future earnings through 2/28/21.
See Section 3.1.1

Why are you still here? Don't you have an anti-handgun rally to attend today.

Basically, if he gets another job immediately, that helps us tremendously.

Depends on who you ask. I think it's too early, even though I can't stand the guy, I would rather give him 1 more season just for some stability.
Volfan30 on the other hand, would build a time machine and go back and fire him in 2013.

Or they could just for him for cause due to his being a fricking terrible 4th quarter coach.

I was looking for something in the contract for that, I think a good lawyer could argue negligence
