Very talented. Neal and Marcus Maye are excellent safeties. Quincy Wilson and Poole will play Nickel and Dime. Expect to see a lot of nickel and dime packages to keep speed on the field and also our linebackers are banged up.

We have the deepest secondary in the country. Quincy Wilson steps in without too much of a drop off

There is virtually no drop off from VH3 to Tabor to Quincy Wilson. After those three you'll see Brian Poole (our starting nickel) play outside, but that is not ideal. Deiondre Porter may play some at corner, he's a solid special teams player but buried on the depth chart. He has good length and size but doesn't have a lot of experience playing.

At safety we have Keanu Neal. A big hitter, forces a lot of fumbles and has several career interceptions. The other safety is Marcus Maye. He is much better in run coverage than pass coverage. He will slide down and play some linebacker at times. We run a lot of nickel coverage. Four defensive linemen, 2 linebackers, and 5 DB's.

After Neal, Maye, and Poole at safety, you have a pretty big drop off. Marcell Harris is a pretty good special teams player but he's given up some passes at safety. He's more of a big hitter than a coverage guy. Duke Dawson and Nick Washington both will see some time and they have been decent, but there is still an obvious drop off from Keanu Neal and Marcus Maye to Duke Dawson and Nick Washington.

That being said, both guys have had some success. Duke Dawson has a pick six in his career and Nick Washington is a hard working guy that plays his butt off every play. We have a pretty deep defensive backfield.

Kind of hilariously deep to the point of actually making up too much of our roster-- seriously, for all of the shite we (deservedly) give Boom secondary is the one thing he excelled at recruiting and developing-- its the one position you could argue we outrecruited everyone in--its all 4 and 5 stars through like 4 deep.
