They don't have them in hand, at the discretion of a politician at their whim, such as Obama/Lerner.. if they wanted to single out people. They have to have a reason to request or get a court order for them. I've set up FFL's for folks. When they inspect, it's done on site and only done to make sure that records are complete. They (ATF) don't make photocopies or take the records off site.

What SF is doing is way above and beyond what is allowed by Federal law.
