Exactly what I was going to say.
If anybody wants to know how to shut the hunh offense down, go back and watch the cowboys dominate chip Kelly's "explosive offense" in Philadelphia last Sunday. I think Dallas had the ball for 40+ minutes.

so ... saban is tired of the way the game is played and he cannot be as successful as he wants to be ...
he's lost 1 regular season game in each of the past 2 years (assuming this is the time period to which the OP/writers/bloggers/etc are referring) ... plus an sec title during that time ... and lost to the sec champ the previous year ... yet he is dissatisfied with the way the game is going because he just isn't successful anymore ...
this rant is directed at the writers/etc, not the OP ... i don't know that saban dislikes the current game so much that he will leave ... i think his style will do just fine, which will keep him here ...

He's struggled the last 4 seasons and doesn't like the college game? ok.....well I guess ill say it again....
The last 4 seasons....
2011: Won National Championship
2012: Won National Championship
2013: Was undefeated all the way until the Iron Bowl, and if it wasn't for the Kick-Six play vs Auburn, we probably would have beaten Missouri and went on to the National Championship Game.
2014: Made the first ever College Football Playoff (1 of only 4 Teams)
I'd say he's doing alright.
2015: Just loss to Ole Miss, but if we tighten the screws and beat LSU at home, and take down Georgia at there place, which we can do, we will be in the Playoffs again.

The thing he loves most about football -- scheming and destroying offenses with a near perfect defensive lineup and gameplan
This is why he stays. He will stay to prove he can beat the new offenses before he would leave because of it.

I agree.
As for what he may do afterwards...

Kirk Herbstreit never flinched, no matter how strong the rumors surrounding Nick Saban's future grew.
A longtime friend of the Alabama coach, the ESPN college football analyst read all about the Cleveland Browns' interest in Saban in 2012 during and after the Crimson Tide's run to a second consecutive BCS National Championship. And when the sports world waited to see whether Saban would entertain the longtime interest Texas had in him, Herbstreit simply waited for the coach to announce he was staying at Alabama.
Herbstreit doesn't pretend to know when Saban will call it quits at Alabama, but he has a fairly good sense of what the coach might do next.
"Nick Saban will be on the set with us before he's a coach in the NFL," said Herbstreit, who broke the news of Saban's agreement on a new contract with Alabama in December. "I really believe that after he's done at Alabama, whenever that time is, whether it's a year, five years, whatever it is, I really believe there's an itch there about becoming an analyst."

what year he leaves i have no idea. could be after this season, could be after 4 more seasons. i don't think the allure of the nfl or even another college job will tempt him to leave alabama. if he leaves early, i think the fans or the university will be why he leaves. something tells me he will stay and win another championship before he leaves...that's just him imo.

If that happens, I'll wish him the best and jump on the Colts bandwagon. No hard feelings at all.
Absolutely
If he never wins another championship or moves on - you can't beat the last 8 years. Period. I'll always be a fan of his and appreciative for the excitement he and his teams gave us.

There should be some sort of punishment dealt out for threads like these which occur only after we lose.
It's pathetic in my opinion that we have fans so spoiled that they can't handle a loss. This crap happens every year. We lose a game, the all of a sudden Saban doesn't care, Saban is leaving, *blank* coach is getting fired, yada yada yada

I seriously doubt a This guy is a Bama fan.
I mean he has Purple and Gold in his name.

And Carolina is in yours genius.
I joined in 2007 when this place was still Tigerdroppings. At the time, it wasn't easy to get admitted to rival teams' sites (because Tidefans had just banned all LSU posters I believe) with Roll or Tide or Bama or any other such identifiers in your username. So, I chose PG Mo for various reasons, primarily due to where I received my undergrad degree. It was intended to just be a fly-by troll account, but I decided I liked this place a lot more than fricking Tidefans and Scout, so, I stuck around. Never saw any reason to change the name, but the logo beside it has never changed in 8 years.
I clearly outlined why I think Saban will strongly consider a return to the NFL this year, none of which had a damn thing to do with Ole Miss. Whether you agree or disagree doesn't bother me one bit. That's why I like this place, but to call for my banning or removal is some bitchmade, Tidefans' shite. I for one am glad this isn't like that half-limp circle jerk and resent anyone trying to turn it into one.
Alahunter, feel free to drop the anchor. Thank you.

Actually, University of Montevallo, Go Falcons! Great soccer program, great cross country, really good basketball programs but no football.
In fact, it's in the charter that they cannot have a football team.

Ahhh the words of the young. I believe it was the 68-69 seasons. BAMA went 6-5 both seasons. Everyone said the Bear was old. Past his prime. Probably should retire. Then he put in the Wishbone and won 101 games in 10 years.
He who does not learn from history is doomed to repeat it.
