Are there any other details on this? I find it weird that this isn't highlighted in more detail, if it is indeed true. I think those details would be highly pertinent to the case in question.

eta: nevermind, thanks for the explanation lsufball19.

He must also undergo mental health and substance abuse treatment.

Harris is currently enrolled in an alcohol treatment program in Georgia.

Am I missing something here?

eta: also nevermind, I see that he admitted to alcohol abuse as a part of his defense.

What better way to teach him about the plight of the poor black man?

Eric Holder at his finest. Ignore Congressional subpoenas in ref to "Fast and Furious", send representatives to side with criminals in Furguson, all the while ignoring murder of police officers. Racist, criminal, POS. Corrupt like the rest of this outlaw administration.

Meredith is an American hero, and was a brave soul, to be sure.

But, our justice system is fricked, and not just because of this.

Well, that is different. They are not guilty of being White.

I honestly don't care what their skin color is. White people are also heavily involved with the BLM movement. My point is, punishment seems to be one sided at the moment due to the social climate. I understand the knee jerk reactions, but how everyone is handling - what could be used as a growing/learning experience for everyone - isn't beneficial for the very goal that's trying to be achieved.

Ignorance will reign on for both sides.

Chinese man claims he has intentions to harm himself and take down others in the process gets away scott free over at Mississippi State. Now a white man does something extremely stupid and racist but never threatens or mentions intent on hurting anyone gets 6 months in prison? Totally insane to me. The school doesn't matter, just making a clear reference to what happened at MSU.

Nguyen is the most prevalent Vietnamese family name; not Chinese, but that really shouldn't matter. The authorities could not find any law that was broken, so no charges were filed. It is my understanding that he is going to re-enroll in the Spring. But, I understand what you are saying I think but not really a very good example.

Law is about dispensing justice equally. Not to send "messages". Nothing about this sentence is equal.

Judge screwed the pooch. The pooch is the American people.

If anything, it's rather see him work a shite load of community service hours. Preferably at a black charity/non profit. Instead, he'll probably join up with am Aryan gang, and become a bigger racist.
