I won't get into an argument over who's QB is worse, but Coker scares me to death. I don't understand why I'm in the minority here. I honestly think he's horrible.

No,
Yes. Miles had one of the best backs in the country last year and lost to Arkansas 17-0 while allowing said back to carry the ball 6 times. He continues to show questionable decision making. I used to think Miles was better than Richt based off a Natty, but I'm not so sure anymore. Richt has his own issues. They are both good coaches, but I honestly think Richt has caught Miles at this point. Only time tells is Miles retakes the lead, or Richt continues to advance.

Can we consider Miles' 78% winning percentage while at LSU in the West vs Right's 74% winning percentage coaching UGA in the East since we have to dismiss the natty and SEC championships?
Sure. If we can consider Richt's record verses the West and Miles record verses Richt. See how that works? Nobody said that Richt was better. We are saying they are virtually the same except the Natty.

To this day, Richt hasn't made a NC appearance in a down SEC East, get the hell out.

Who do you think creates that talent disparity? It's not like the coaches just show up to work and the talent is just there. Recruiting is one of if not the most important aspects of a coaches job.

Luck, or lack thereof.

I thought Harris played pretty well, he had some nice passes. I see why Les is timid but maybe they should turn him lose on a team and see what he does. A for sure win team of course but none the less.

How can I put this ..... NO. You must not know what good coaching is. The better coaches know how to win despite injuries and lesser talent.

You got me there. Can't argue w luck, magic or voodoo.
That being said, I would consider a NC and better overall winning percentage as better.

You could tell when the talent wasn't equal. 2008 UGA & LSU were vastly more talented than Bama. Saban wins a close one vs Miles and went in dry on UGA.
By your logic that should establish a pretty clear pecking order.

Agree completely with the similarities you named
Still a significant talent gap overall though.
Based on 247's ratings from 2012-2015
# of recruits rated 5*/4*/3*
UA: 21/56/25
LSU: 6/57/34
UGA: 9/43/51
Of course this ignores transfers, players who have left for the NFL, etc.

More like Elite Coaching ability, or lack thereof.

Get out with the excuses, Richt has put more players in the nfl than any other ncaa team except Miami over his tenure at UGA

Not meant to be an "excuse", just one reason that Bama ? LSU ? UGA and an explanation for why Bama will probably continue to be favored over LSU and UGA (and everyone else) until the gap closes a little
Although maybe not, maybe I'm overestimating the gap. I think the pre-season line on Bama-UGA opened as a pick-em

Nice stat about Richt though. Would be a pretty compelling sell during a recruiting visit.
Too bad it doesn't hold true vs. Bama over the most recent few years
