I had no idea how hard it was to find a screenshot or gif of the Legit bit about it being 11/9, not 9/11.

I was in 7th or 8th grade. I really was just mad that the college football games were cancelled that weekend.

Was working in Houston that day. Beautiful morning. Taking my daughter to pre-K, we had a tradition of playing "American Pie" in the car. She knew all the words and it lasted just long enough to end when we got to school. Got a page as I walked out that pricing for the morning would be delayed - pricing department was in WTC. Pissed because I had a busy day planned. Turned on the radio in the car and the day came to an end. Neither of us can hear that song and not tear up.

I was at Mizzou getting on the shuttle from one of the student parking lots. One of my friends was telling me something was happening and when we got on the bus headed in towards campus the bus driver had his radio on about the first plane.
I remember some professors knew about it and some didn't and then as word spread the classes were cancelled. I will never forget the sight of all of those students in Brady Commons watching the TV and wondering what was happening.
It still makes me so sad and angry.

Sophomore in college. By the time I woke up both planes had hit, and both buildings had fallen.

6th grade break time. Girl's dad had bought her a portable TV. She was showing the teacher the different channels it could get when the teacher noticed the cnn coverage of the first plane hitting the tower. We spent the rest of the day piled around a big tv in the library watching.
eta: What amazes me most about that day is, now looking back at the coverage 14 years later, how little I understood what was actually going on. I remember not quite understanding why everybody was so upset. I don't think I realized people were actually dying.

I will never forget this day. I was with my favorite customer in Co Springs and we watched in grieved silence.and two men shedding tears. Soon the group swelled to a dozen or more and still no words spoken for many minutes just watching that day unfold.
My customer called an end to the work day and all went home to be with their loved ones..the feeling of uncertainty and being upset, concerned, and disbelief.
I will never forget 9/11 in all my living days.

I remember the stunned silence as everybody in the overflow conference room watched the towers fall. Even the TV commentators couldn't speak.
