That's not true at all.

I think it refers to home and home (Illustration only below)

LSU @ OU = 0 dollars for LSU
OU @ LSU = 10 million for LSU
divide by 2 and LSU averages 5 million per year

LSU plays OU in Chick Fil A and gets 8 million
LSU plays USC in JerryWorld and gets 8 million
divide by 2 and LSU averages 8 million per year

If LSU is getting $8 million for a neutral site game, then they are doing a heck of a job negotiating their deals.

I think $3-5 million is more typical. Even on the low end, AD's calculate that two of those will meet or exceed a home game, and that they effectively get to fleece season ticket buyers for an extra game that is not included in their season ticket package. However, get that revenue down around $2 million and the math just doesn't work. Hopefully, teams will get concerned about this, and about having an attractive home schedule, and make the decision to schedule some quality home and home series.

As to A&M-Arkansas, that deal with Jerry can't end soon enough to me. My one fear whenever folks talk about going to a 9 game schedule is that this would give the schools an excuse to keep this series as a neutral site game.
